Grief is a crazy thing. You don’t even have to personally know the person to feel personally affected by it. It can also trigger your own experiences of trauma and loss. It’s okay to feel it. It’s okay that it upsets you. The world lost an icon. A wife lost her husband and her daughter. The other children lost their father and sister. Just imaging their grief is enough to cause our own. Appreciate every single day because you never know how quickly it can all change. Hug your kids a little tighter and tell your partner you love them. 9 AM and sitting in my therapists office. Yes, therapist go to therapy too. I’m human, I get stressed and anxious just like everyone else. In fact, some of the best therapists practice self-care and practice what they preach, and to be a great therapist you should always know what it’s like to be on the other side of the couch.
