Bloom in Winter….

As I was walking/jogging down the East Side by the FDR I saw these flowers still blossoming after the cool cold months.

Winter signals the death or end of things so that we can be rejuvenated for the new birth of spring.

But the flowers reminded me that the space once held by my bad habits, heaviness and energy be the new places where any opportunity/risk/idea can grow from without having to wait. We create the new us everyday we choose better for ourselves.

Growth is year round.

In a city with over 8 million people NYC has taught me to cherish moments of solitude. Constantly being surrounded with noise, distractions, and energies bouncing off the wall I love the moments were I can sit on the floor alone and connect with just myself. I realized in many of my relationships and others I have seen, solitude was looked at as a form of weakness, disrespect, and loneliness. But for me the more space I create for myself the more I am able to give to others because it allows me to evaluate where I am, what I need, and what I feel. Let your mind and body breath on its own terms.
