Riverblossom Hills Makeover: O'Mackey

• Gabe is happy cracking dad jokes to his students, much to his daughter's dismay. He's even happier these days now that he's found love again. After his divorce, his sole focus for many years was raising Jules but meeting Patricia has sparked something in Gabe he thought long lost. It's been difficult getting Jules on board with his new relationship. He hopes that with time, they could form a tentative new family.

• Jules was perfectly happy when it was just her and her dad. They're super close and never needed anyone else. Her mother left when she was young, and she still harbours resentment towards her, refusing to look at the rare postcards sent from whatever faraway place she's traveled to. Perhaps this is why Jules is suspicious of Patricia, mumbling her way through any attempts at conversation. As an aspiring journalist, she's been trying to dig up dirt on Patricia, anything to prove she's no good for her dad. So far nothing incriminating has popped up, but Jules won't stop digging.

Riverblossom Hills Build: 115 Old Farm Road

The McGreggor farm is minuscule. This suits Leod just fine; he doesn't need a whole lot of space for himself, happy to have more land for crops.

His beloved cow Moira wanders the nearby pastures every day, and enjoys sleeping in the sun. Leod will accompany her on her walks when he needs a break, always telling her about his day while she grazes.

Most of the furniture was inherited from Leod's parents. He keeps a sea of family photos above the small TV in his bedroom, a reminder of a quiet and loving childhood he often misses. If his parents were here, they would encourage him to find someone to share this life with, which leads to him thinking about Andrew, which leads to him running out to the fields to dig until he stops blushing.

Riverblossom Hills Makeover: McGreggor

• Leod doesn't need much to be content. His little farm is a quick drive from the village, which means plenty of alone time as he tends to his crops and his cow.

A shy and soft-spoken guy, Leod is oblivious to how many admirers he has. Whenever he goes to the village to sell at the farmer's market, customers will bat their eyelashes to no avail. When the more brazen ones ask for his number, his response is to check the phone book since he hasn't bothered to memorize it. It's become a popular topic among local gossipers: who, if anyone, will manage to win over this handsome solitary farmer?

Of all the people in town, Leod enjoys spending time with Andrew Martin the most. They go to the pub for a pint or two every week, with Andrew doing most of the talking while Leod listens with a smile. He's been trying to ignore the little butterflies he feels lately whenever they meet up, burying himself in farmwork to keep himself distracted.

Riverblossom Hills Build: 110 Old Farm Road

The Greenmans live in a cozy cottage with an attached greenhouse out in nature. It means a longer commute for Jason to get to work, but it's one of the compromises he and Rose made when they got married. PlantSims need to be surrounded by as much greenery as possible.

What Jason wasn't expecting was for plants to grow on the roof and along the inside walls, which he chalks up to PlantSim powers. They never seem to wilt either, even glowing a little after Rose talks to them.

Visitors always comment on how soothing it is to be surrounded by so much nature indoors, and the air does seem fresher than in other peoples' homes. It's as good of an environment as he and Rose can create for little Daisy. They hope she'll blossom in this home, attuned to nature while also able to navigate the human world.

Riverblossom Hills Makeover: Greenman

• Jason thought he'd be a city boy all his life, until he moved to the countryside to support his brother after his divorce. And wouldn't you know it, he ended up falling in love with nature... literally. Stumbling upon a hidden colony of PlantSims while hiking changed the course of his life forever. He's still learning their ways, but he's willing to cultivate a green thumb for his beloved Rose. Now that he has a wife and stepdaughter, he's working hard to get a regular position at the local school since substitute teaching isn't very reliable pay.

• Rose thought she would live among the trees all her life. She had even spawned her own Plantbaby before meeting Jason. It's been an adjustment living in a human house; she isn't used to being enclosed between four walls, though needs must since humans are too squishy to survive in the outdoors without protection. Thankfully, their house is nearer to the woods than the village. Every day is full of compromises between natural living and technological comforts, but love makes everything worth it.

• Daisy is aware of the sudden shift in her environment. She was spawned in the embrace of grass and flowers, and now sleeps in a crib under artificial lights. Her parents worry about her PlantSim development and make sure she gets plenty of time outdoors in the sunshine, or revitalizing her leaves in the rain. The question of human schooling has come up, though for now she's content to learn by digging her hands in the earth and discovering the wriggly lives and seeds that live in it.

While the older kids are at school and Goneril is at work, Albany takes Ariel to the Veronaville Club for a pool day. She was more interested in judging the taste of her rubber duck than splashing around.

Running the family restaurant means Antonio's on his feet all day, but he still puts on his best service smile for customers.

He's even had to put some hours in the kitchen after it turns out the new chef he hired lied about her experience level. It's been a gruelling week.

The Veronaville library is a remodeled medieval structure connected to an old bell tower. Mercutio likes to sneak up to the top for a smoke after school, only this time Tybalt followed him, threatening to tell the librarian about his activities.

All that poking and yelling was getting on Mercutio's nerves, so he did the first thing he thought of to shut Tybalt up. And uh... relations between the Montys and Capps just got even more complicated.

The park is thick with flowers and foliage, easy for a pair of young lovers to find a secluded spot off the main paths where they won't be seen.

Romeo despairs of them ever being able to be together. His grandfather's hatred of the Capps has only grown as he and Consort battle for all the business lots in Veronaville. But Juliette says their love can overcome anything, build them a lifetime of happiness even stronger than their families' animosity. Her voice is gentle yet confident, and Romeo can't help but believe her.

Goneril's latest venture is a trendy café where all the drinks will have the customers' names written in the foam. She's hit a bit of a snag as one of the business permits wasn't submitted correctly. It's been causing quite the headache, which is why she sits inside her unusable café in the evenings, heavily sighing.

Bianca still gets a little thrill whenever someone buys one of her sweets. She can't believe she's living her dream job, even though it's much harder work than she'd anticipated.

There are whispers from other shop owners on the street that Consort Capp is planning to buy up the neighbourhood to build a luxury shopping centre to attract rich tourists. Until she hears confirmation from city council, Bianca chooses not to worry.

Being unemployed means Kent spends a lot of time in coffee shops. Ever since he went on a trip to Takemizu to find himself, he's adopted their local gesture of showing gratefulness to all the elements and hard work that came together to make his beverage possible.

Sometimes the grief becomes too much for Isabella. She goes to the Jacoban cathedral in the old town square by herself to weep, her heart still broken from losing her son Claudio, and her daughters-in-law Olivia and Hero.

Patrizio refuses to mourn with her, instead channeling his pain into escalating confrontations with the Capps. Isabella fears this curse will come for her grandchildren next unless someone puts a stop to it.

The Capps have donated many priceless works to the Veronaville Museum of Art. This particular piece is a portrait of Consort's mother Andromache Thebe when she was young.

Whenever Consort visits, he'll stand in front of it for at least an hour. Contemplating perhaps, that the tragedies that have befallen his family really started with his parents' untimely deaths before his wedding. He wonders if she would approve of his ruthlessness, of the cutthroat deals he's made to increase their family's power. It's all for the honour of our lineage, Mother, he thinks.

Patrizio is a decades-old regular at the Bard's Plumbob tavern. His family helped build the place over a century ago, so he's got the privilege of being allowed to pour his own drinks. The bartenders will step aside while he wows clients with his still-agile pouring skills.
