“You’re hardly a dog, though.” He laughed behind a hand. “I thought that was just a stereotype: that black people don’t camp. But okay, now I know what kind of date to not take you on. We’ll keep it indoors.” He grimaced a little, debating whether to pose another question, does it anyway, “Should I take that to mean you don’t swim either?”
“I’m definitely not.” She smiled, nudging him with her shoulder.”No, see we can go swimming. I know how to do that. As long as it’s in a swimming pool though. I don’t do lakes or the ocean.”
