On November 7, 2024, Denmark used a racist, culturally biased "parenting competency" test to remove a 2 hour old baby, Zammi, from her loving indigenous Greenlandic Inuit mother, Keira, because her native language, which uses minute facial expressions to communicate, will not be able to "[prepare] the child for the social expectations and codes that are necessary to navigate in Danish society." This test had been recommended not to be used at the federal level before this happened but certain municipalities, including the one this happened in, chose to continue to use it regardless. Not only is this blatantly racist but also violates multiple declarations and conventions that Denmark has signed that protect the rights of indigenous people.

I've made a post recently asking for 400$, only received 21$, which I'm grateful for, but due to my utter dependency on external financial help, isn't enough. I have severe OCD, was recently diagnosed with severe depression and subnutritution, and have multiple gut issues and auditory hallucinations. This means I have a small heap of medical appointments I have to go to in addition to just living life, and I'm bleeding money into transportation.
I also have barely any spring clothing (as in right below the bare minimum). I need to constantly replenish toiletry. I need money for food, and especially since I can't use the kitchen most of the time because of my Mom, ready made meals are expensive. My mother is asking for 50$ as a "contribution". I also have to take care of my phone bill.

In a moment of internet disconnection, I was looking for something to entertain me, and I found myself playing with the dinosaur in Google Chrome. The more I thought about it, the more I realized that our lives in Gaza are just like this game — we keep pushing forward, trying to survive despite the many obstacles, just like the dinosaur jumping over them. 🦖💔
But here, the obstacles are much bigger than just pixelated ones on a screen.
But despite these small moments of entertainment, the reality in Gaza is far from fun. We live day by day in complete darkness, no electricity, no internet, and no aid reaching us.
The crossing is closed, and we watch as hope slips away day by day. Nothing is coming. We are stuck in these tragic circumstances. There is no food to keep our children alive, and we have nothing but pain and fear. Hunger is tearing us apart, and we watch our children suffer in front of us, unable to do anything.
I am Kareman, a Palestinian mother from Gaza and a teacher. I used to be awarded "Best Teacher" every year, always striving to be an inspiration for my students. But today, even education has become a distant dream because of the dire situation we face. We are truly living in a catastrophe, and hunger and fear are overwhelming our lives.
I need you now more than ever. Our lives are in danger, our children are hungry, and we are waiting for anything to save us from this darkness. If your heart has compassion, and if you can help with any amount, even a small contribution, it will change our lives.

The trans man who was brutalized, tortured and eventually murdered was Black. I’m genuinely so upset by all the viral posts about his murder that completely leave that out.
Black trans people face levels of violence that are completely disproportionate to those of their white counterparts. Even though only 13% of the transgender community is estimated to be Black, Black trans woman make up nearly 1/3s of murder victims. Not to mention the fact that 53% of Black trans people have experienced sexual assault 42% have experienced homelessness and 67 % have experienced police brutality. Racism isn’t just a cis people thing it absolutely exists in the trans community. Frankly Non Black trans people need to start being better allies to their Black siblings because I’ve experienced way too much racism in the trans community.
