DOCTOR STRANGE: 😎😏
@mcuchallenge June | MORE
You either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain.
Robert Downey Jr:
I know RDJ Doom is a bit of a hot topic 😅 Just to be clear, I'm a Stony fan, not a celebrity stan.
But with the A5 trailer probably dropping soon, I figured why not post it.
This is just me drawing based on Marvel's casting — nothing deep.
Just for fun.
CHANNING TATUM as REMY LEBEAU AKA GAMBIT Avengers: Doomsday (2026) dir. Anthony & Joe Russo
imagining grace in his first year of teaching kind of automatically introducing himself as dr. ryland grace bc that's what he's used to. and the kids are like O_O dr? and somebody inevitably googles him and finds a video of his final crashout. and because 13 year olds are little menaces, when he inevitably snaps at the class to sit down and do their work at some point (his classroom management skills need time to develop okay) somebody puts on a little pouty face and goes "dr. grace? you don't.....you don't think i'm a.....a staggering waste of carbon......do you?" and grace's life flashes before his eyes.
and next year he's just mr. grace and doesn't tell any kids his first name so it's harder for them to google him (they manage it anyway).
why does he lowkey look at yu like that in the trailer ????
Grace sees his house just after it was built on Erid for the first time, and the only Eridian he has seen so far is Rocky for various reasons. He examines the interior, taking in everything with awe until he gets to a large door looking thing in the back. It goes from the floor to the ceiling, and is quite wide.
“Rocky, what’s this for?”
“Is for Adrian!”
“Adrian…?”
The door slides open and standing Infront of Grace is a massive (relative to Rocky) blue green spiky Eridian.
“Hello Grace.”
The pitch is so low he can barely hear it. Goddamn Rocky bagged a baddie.
Just like how Grace tells Rocky he kinda looks like a spider, I wonder if there’s an organism on Erid that disturbingly looks humanoid. I saw a fanart somewhere of Rocky seeing spiders as uncanny valley, so Grace definitely feels the same when he sees a humanoid creature on Erid.
A lot of the organisms on Erid reside in the atmosphere, so just imagine Grace and Rocky are sitting on the beach one day and there’s a loud thunk on the biodime. Grace looks up and does the iconic high pitched gosling scream. It sort of resembles a human, but its limbs are all weird, its flesh is hard, and there are SO many things wrong about it. But it’s humanoid enough to give him nightmares for days.
“Rocky….what the FUDGE is THAT?!”
“Oh, is Erid flying organism! Name is ♫ ♪ ♫. Sort of looks like Grace, question?”
“Rock, I never want to see one of those again.”
“Oh. Understand.”
Grace: Do you think you can add spice to the MeBurgers? I’m a hot sauce kinda guy.
Rocky: What is spice question?
Grace: It’s when humans eat something that burns our mouths because it evolves to be painful to stop animals from eating it, but we like the flavor of pain.
Rocky: ……….there is something wrong with your entire species statement.
Imagining eva stratt bullying an optometrist into making like four extra pairs of glasses with grace’s prescription just in case.
Imagining carl bringing up that eyesight can change over time on the jet flight back and eva turning their plane around, marching back into the building, and changing her order because god forbid her scientist isn’t able to see all his important science stuff.
Imagining grace floating around with cracked glasses that don’t really work that well for most of his flight back to erid until he digs to the bottom of the storage area and finds a small pack with like 6 pairs of glasses with slightly different prescriptions.
Imagining rocky bullying grace saying ‘just learn echolocation statement’
i thought the “this is the face that launched a thousand ships, although now it would maybe be five-hundred.” line was just an internet joke but apparently that's a line Menelaus actually says in Nolan's Odyssey??
Not only that the language itself sounds straight out of a marvel forcibly funny haha moment, but Menelaus? The Menelaus who all thoughout human history, from Homer, to Sappho, to Euripides, to Virgil, to Shakespeare, to Brooke, to Barth; from Classical vases to Medieval poetry to Reinessance art, has been known as the man whose sword fell from his hands at the sight of his wife after 10 years apart?
"What joy for me to hold my wife" Menelaus?
"He flung the sword away, and kissed her feet" Menelaus?
"I believe all. I understand nothing. I love you" Menelaus?
"I have no fault to find; my wife, he daughter of Zeus and Leda, is mine again, she whom her brothers on their snow-white steeds, whilst torches blazed, made my happy bride, but gods removed her from my home." Menelaus?
The Menelaus who was picked out of the suitors by Helen herself? The Menelaus who couldn't kill a begging Trojan so his brother had to do it for him? The Menelaus who rescued Odysseus and got out Patroclus' body? The Menelaus who volounteered to fight Paris one on one so everybody could go home? Who kept expressing his guilt about himself being the cause of war through every assembly he spoke at in the Iliad? Who after 10 years away at Troy, took his wife through a 7-year long journey at sea back home, where he reinstated her as the queen of Sparta? Who wept like a child in front of Telemachus recalling the war and his brother and all the friends he lost and the only consolation being his wife' gentle hand on his?
You want me to believe that man scarred Helen's face and called her only worth half the ships because of it?
I'm actually physically sick just thinking about it.
Instead of the new dogshit Odyssey film you should watch Iphigenia (1977). It’s made by actual Greek people and focuses on a mother-daughter relationship to explore how women are sacrificed by powerful men in times of war. Also the main actress has the face of an angel 🙏 the whole movie is available on YT with English subtitles.
