Finally got a more mobile drawing tablet (Galaxy Tab Active with CSP), so I now have a much more functional setup for drawing more regularly yayyyyy

Cause the traditional desktop/bamboo tablet setup I was relying on before was fuckin brutal lmao, and feels almost arcaic compared to now lol

Anyway, hoping to post more art now, but it's been over a year since I last drew anything, so it's been a blast, but also a challenge to get back into the swing of things again

eyyy, back at it again with another old OC redesign

This is Mari, and I think I originally made her sometime in 8th grade, and she’s an old favorite of mine

(original drawings under the cut so this post isn’t too long)

If I remember right, the story that she’s from is a kind of morally-gray vigilante justice/superhero story or something.

She’s from a demon family (she an switch between human and demon forms), but one day she saves a subway full of people from a bomber. An angel sees this, and gives her a blessing (hence the “halo” in her eyes), which gives her the ability to use banishing/sealing magic, and allows her to fight more demons that are trying to harm humans and create chaos.

I dunno, I’m tempted to plan out a comic for the story. It’s got some decent potential as a concept 🤔
