There was a bit of a line in the bakery, but that didn’t stop Tristan from greeting everyone who entered with a wide smile and a bit of conversation – even if that meant interrupting himself mid-conversation with someone already in front of him. When she entered, his entire face lit up, eyes wide, smile bright and open. “I know you! You’re like a celebrity.”
Nancy had gone into the bakery to pick up a pie; no comedy show was complete without a pie. When she heard someone excitedly talk to a so-called celebrity, she turned around to see who it was. Not recognizing anyone, she turned back to the counter, seeing that the baker had been talking to her. “Maybe, but you’re still the breadwinner.”
