Coyote and Carolina know each other by the way. She's the Tzimisce previously mentioned on the last blog and was their employer in the NOLA timeline. They worked for her as a chauffeur and they got to be friendly with each other after some time.

In the SF timeline, they know each other primarily through political means. Coyote's the sweeper and Carolina's brother is the Tzimisce warlord so they've visited her house a few times and has become a family friend.

On that note, she currently lives with four of her siblings. Ruben, Rachaud, Rhiannon, and Fausta. There's another couple of brothers out there in California but they don't live in the same house. Carolina is the second youngest, with Fausta being the youngest.

A lot of the Warren children kinda split off into their own coteries, this bunch being the west coast branch. Some remained in the east coast, some left to travel the world independently.

When I say Groomed for Embrace, I really mean it. Carolina's parents raised her to be ruthless and vicious. How to climb hierarchy by any means necessary, how to gain peoples' favor. One that's especially messed up was to rat out her siblings for special treats and favors. With her father, he'd send her a dress or sweets from wherever he was in the world every time Ursula wrote him, detailing her malice.

Although he wasn't around often, he still had such a profound influence on the house. This made Ibrahim almost mythological in Carolina's eyes. How distant but powerful he was. How it felt like he could easily pluck exotic gifts out of thin air and have them sent to her specifically. She wanted his approval and presence desperately. She wouldn't realize that he's no better than her mother until much later.

"How often are Nosferatu anything else? Respectfully, of course. Nothing in the Camarilla, hardly anything in the Anarchs, and yet your Clan plays such an important role in our quaint little society. Without you guys, there'd be no good gossip for my sister and I to be wicked about in the parlor." Carolina turned her sewing scissors in her hands.

"All around the butt of the joke quite frequently. At least you're not Giovanni! I'd take your curse any day of the week over their home situation." Carolina's painted lips curled into a devious sneer.

"You know, I've had several clients come to me begging for me to make them monstrous. Would you let me sketch your likeness for reference?" The question was sincere. "There's a distinct organic nature to Nosferatu and I just can't seem to get that effect. I've tried."

Carolina's fine, painted brow raised. Frigid eyes look the Duskborn over; up and down, up and down, ultimately unimpressed. She bore her serpentine fangs and hissed back. "See how little effort it takes to stand there and hiss? Now observe how I'm still standing right here? I've met peachicks more intimidating."

"No, you're far too pink in the cheeks still." The Tzimisce continued to appraise them. "Even for somebody so young. I bet you must fight for your dinner more often than not. You're going to have to do much more than stand there and hiss like a stray. Any half- decent Kindred will always read it as fear, regardless if you're scared or not, and what could they love more then your terror?"

She braced herself. "Come on. Run at me. Lunge at me."

Carolina had received another letter in the mail. Before she could even open it, she could smell lilac perfume bleeding through the envelope, a wax seal adorned the opening shut. "I hate lilac." She rolled her eyes and opened the letter anyways.

'To my lovely Medorah. You've weighed heavily on my mind and heart. I—' And this was as far as she read.

Taking a red pen from the cup on her desk, she scrawled in the margin. "Do you still make that revolting face when you cry?" This would be returned to the sender.

Like a lot of wealthy women of her age, Carolina's education was carried out by a governess. She was taught how to read, write, and do math. Despite her mother's unfortunate inclination for more traditional gender dynamics, she wasn't a believer in "Oh, education injures the womb of young girls" and insisted her daughters receive the same education as her sons.

She was also taught sewing, needlepoint, embroidery, piano, and French. She still has a fondness for sewing and eventually sought somebody out to teach her how to make bobbin lace. She was interested as a teen but was discouraged from it since it was "work for beggars and fallen women".

Carolina (pronounced Caro-lee-na btw) was definitely a weirdgirl as a child. She would sneak out of the house to tag along while her older brothers Ruben and Reilly when they'd go hunting for the sole purpose of gathering animal bones and bugs. She often also stole rabbits skulls and turkey spurs from the kitchen when the maids weren't looking.
