day 109 no mcr. it has been far too long since dearest raymond and gerard sent word of their good health, though micheal has done so recently and franklin has not stopped sending letters since the summer began. the children grow sadder and hungrier by the day without fresh food, but i am trying to stay strong. earlier today i saw a photograph from a year ago (oh how i miss those golden days), of gerard's thigh through torn stockings, and i must confess i nearly fainted from the shock. times are getting desperate. i fear i am beginning to lose hope, but i will not let the waiting get to me- nothing is for certain yet, and they shall hopefully turn up any day now.
