Long time no post! This is actually from back in February and I'm only just now posting it. I didn't mean to step away for so long (not just tumblr, but all socials) but so much has been happening in the past few months. Lots and lots of personal/family stuff (mostly my grandma being in the hospital for around a month) but I think things are finally falling back into some sort of rhythm so I'm trying to catch up on eeeverything! And I finally have some semblance of internet at my home so livestreams are back!

Got a new sketchbook and I'm trying to force myself to actually use it. Since I got my ipad a couple of years ago my sketchbook has been mostly abandoned since ipad sketching is much more convenient. I have been finding myself super into using tombow markers in my sketchbook lately more than copic or other alcohol markers though. And my collection of those is starting to grow.

I definitely did not get to pick enough blueberries this summer. The fresh fruit is the only thing that makes this horrible heat bearable! While everyone else is hyped for fall we're still sitting here in the upper 90's 😩 This fella is the first real attempt at using gouache highlights on my marker art instead of colored pencil. It's more work but I think it's really worth it in the end. And no more pencil dust to clean up from my scans!
