James Flint Appreciation Week: Wednesday - Favourite Relationship

I think we’ve known, certainly since at some point in Season 1, that this was a story about Flint and Silver.

That it was a story about them going from a giant and the smallest man he ever knew to those two becoming allies to becoming friends to becoming singular to each other.

And maybe the person who they had the closest and most personal relationship with.

And that there was just this one point between them that would turn it into a tragedy.

And that the aftermath of that tragedy was Treasure Island.

An excuse to draw younger TS, really. RPJ: I couldn’t get good placement. This is my third attempt, changed the original photo by adding lines and smile. Didn’t quite come together. But, I’m done. I was going to use an old cap but found this portrait shot on my phone… hair was all looking a bit frizzy and bravehearty for a while ^_^

Scoot McNairy: “For Killing Them Softly, I had my best friend Ben Mendelsohn in the movie and we ended up moving into a house together. We figured; let’s not make up chemistry, let’s create real chemistry and take it to set. Ben and I developed a very quick, solid, sick relationship with each other for the movie and you definitely see that in the work.”

Ben Mendelsohn: “We were there first before anyone else, and we ended up staying the longest. We ended up living together and, I think that was the most important thing. Instead of standing there and pretending to be really angry with each other, we genuinely got to know each other. Once you find the things about each other that piss you off, that’s love. That’s love.”
