I'm not normally one to post pictures of food. The food in this photo was the last remaining todY at Prentice's jerk chicken stall on Waterloo Green next to the Old Vic. They were about to close up after the lunchtime rush on this, the last day of the build for #RisePlay by #OldVicNewVoices. I'd been up and down ladders all day and just caught them in time. I've bought lunch here off and on for eight years now. My first @theatredesign job was just round the corner. A few years later I was working in the neighbourhood again so I came back here when in need of spice. One of the most memorable/important lunches of my life was in this park, eating Caribbean food from this stall.... and now I've just finished building a new theatre here with an utterly wonderful team of friends and simply can't wait for opening night. If you'd told me this when I first joined #Charcoalblue in 2008 I doubt I'd have believed you. It's a tiny little park next to a busy road, but if you're ever passing by on a weekday, do drop in.
