UK Trade & Investment and the Manufacturing Advisory Service launch Reshore UK a service to help companies bring production back to the UK.
Here at Penhale we have seen a large increase in the number of companies choosing to move there manufacturing back to the UK. We can offer competitive pricing in comparison to the far east and without any of the logistical barriers. Manufacturing here in the UK also allows company's to order smaller batch quantities to reduce costing. Stratasys has introduced a new soluble support material that is designed to significantly reduces the time and manpower required for 3D printing.
Here is a really interesting article on 3D printing, the technology is becoming more and more advanced and is difficult to ignore. The video illustrates a very good example of how the technology can be used ... and not just for prototyping. We are excited to see what advances are still to be made in the future.
