How Bright is 250 Lumens?
Two hundred fifty lumens is a gentle level of brightness. It is similar to a 25 watt incandescent bulb or a 2 to 4 watt LED. This amount of light works best for accent lighting, nightstands, decorative lamps, or spots where you want a soft glow instead of full illumination. It adds atmosphere without overwhelming a room, and it is a good reminder to choose bulbs based on lumens, not watts, when deciding how bright you want the light to feel.

BIG BIG rainbows on "Sparkle motion" WLED driver board 🌈💡
We got our WLED-friend PCBs
https://blog.adafruit.com/2024/12/02/leftovers-layout-wled-board-revision-a-completed/
and are testing it with various LED grids. First, we tried out a 16x16 NeoPixel grid that runs on 5V. Since that worked well, we're now onto a much bigger 60 x 60 grid - that's 3,600 LEDs! These are some NeoPixel pebble
We have all sorts of LED strips for a wide range of needs. Chonky strips? We got those! Strips with alligator clips
netting samples we're also testing at the same time; each one has 20 x 60 pixels and uses 12V power, so it's a good test of the DC pass-through for higher voltages. Since WLED has a limit of 2000 pixels per output, this demo uses the three output ports that are then 'merged' together in memory to make a single large grid. We have more to test soon: the onboard IR receiver, USB PD, I2S microphone, extra I/O pins, and I2C, so watch for those videos as they come together. Coming soon -
Coming soon! We're designing a board for using WLED - and we want to make like the bestest board in the wholeworld. Our resident me

What time of day should I turn my headlights on?
To ensure safety and comply with most regulations, turn your headlights on in these situations:
Low-Light Conditions: • Sunset to Sunrise: Legally required in many areas. • 30 Minutes Before Sunset & After Sunrise: Twilight periods with reduced visibility.
Poor Visibility: • Adverse Weather: Rain, fog, snow, or haze, even during daytime. • Visibility < 500 Feet: If you can’t see 500 feet ahead, use headlights (a common legal threshold).
Legal Requirements: • Windshield Wipers On: Some regions mandate headlights if wipers are active. • Tunnels & Construction Zones: Often required, regardless of time.
Daytime Safety: • Use headlights (or daytime running lights) to increase visibility to others, even on cloudy days.
Pro Tips: • Automatic Headlights: Don’t rely solely on them; manually check they’re on in low visibility.
• Check Local Laws: Rules vary by state/country (e.g., specific weather or time requirements).
By using headlights in these scenarios, you enhance both your visibility and your vehicle’s presence to others.
