After defeated, One gets locked up on one of the many unused rooms at the hotel. No matter how much she screamed or punched the door, nobody opened it for her. Feeling miserable, One checks the old TV in the room, seeking for something to make her forget about the loneliness she feels.
And, all of a suddeen, she finds love.

"NO! YOU CAN'T DO THIS TO ME!"
One shouted, shaked her legs, and complained. Yet nothing made the other numbers stop, and as soon as they reached the closest door, they threw her in the floor that gave entrance to the room. "Goodbye, One." Four said, closing the door. "NO! No, no, no, no…" She beated her head in the door, waiting for an answer from the outside. Nothing. She was alone again. She looked behind her, analyzing the room. It was relatively big, yet really empty. There was a single window which was really small, and a lot of boxes scattered around the room. "There has to be something to do here…" using the last part of her power, One looked through the room, taking things with her telecinesis. , some hats, and a DIY boardgame. She had already gone through all the boxes, the new ones, the old ones... Except for one.
It was way too small, nothing like the other things she found would fit in there. There was a small note on it, which said "TO: INTEGER N.O TWO"... The sender's name was scribbled all over. One took it and looked around it. Nothing seemed weird, so she started to unwrap it, only to see a VHS named "The Backwards House". "Weird name..." the integer thought, looking around the space, searching for a TV. Luckily, there was one in the corner of the room. It's screen shined as the gentle light of the only window of the room touched it, inviting One to get closer to. She inserts the VHS, and sits in front of. A happy song starts playing, while colorful images passed through the screen. The colors passed through One's eyes, fixated on the image of forgetting a little about her deplorable situation.
A woman appeared on the TV. She had a big hat with a brim that covered her eyes in shadows, long black hair, and a kinda old fashion sense. Her voice was like a peaceful hum, which made the integer feel comfort on it. The VHS showed something that looked like a children's program, where every character was an animal, except for the woman. It looked like it was an episode introducing a new character and... What was One even watching? The sudden thought was enough to make she look away and stop paying attention to the TV. Again, the empty space and it's horrifying shadows invaded One again. There was nothing left for her.
The only thing she heard was the TV sounds for minutes... or did hours have passed? One didn't really cared, until a sound of static woke her up from the trance. A voice came out of the screen, and One couldn't help but notice it was the same voice from the TV woman. "Hey, you right here. Yes, you!" The woman said as One looked back at the TV. They looked at each other in silence for a moment until the woman decided to break it. "What are you looking at? Y'know, it's quite of a bad manner to just stare into someone without saying hi." The integer didn't really know what to answer. The only answer she was able to come up with was...
"W-who are you?" She said. The words didn't let go of her mouth how she wanted to, but it was ok. The woman gave her a smile with a satisfied air. "You can call me Mother. And you? What's your name?" One was hesitant at first. But nothing was stopping her: the woman, or Mother, looked kind and good humored. With a confident look, she answered: "One. My name is One."
"Well then! Nice to meet you, One. Hope we can see each other again." Static. The woman disappeared, and One took the VHS out. There was no point to keep watching. Processing the last few seconds, One layed on the ground. Mother... was kinda weird. And how did she even do that? With way too many questions for way too little answers, One slept right on the floor.
