Im not in the wonderland fandom (or whatever the name is apologies im not from around here) so when your art randomly popped up on my feed I genuinely just assumed you were making a little gay comic of a pilgrim and a goblin and went "oh ok we're doing that now"

i-in a good way, I hope :')

(most of it is just me making stuff up wholecloth, because it's just a silly little thing about a couple of extremely minor characters who predate the canon story by a few centuries...but something really just feels right about Skully having been a little fantasy-puritan lad. maybe it's the hat?)

HECK YEAH excellent taste in fandoms and in Riders! 👍👍 Gavv is definitely my favorite of the more recent ones (Umasho my poor little sweetheart) but I think that when it comes down to it...the W dorks are always gonna be so, so special to me. 💚💜

anyway my main question now is if this is our precious little Awkward Goth Teen Skully from eons past, or if this is Skully after he became the world's jolliest spooky ghostman. either option is good! but it does raise some further questions about how exactly he's come to aid us in our hour of need...

I totally respect that you mostly ship f/f, so I'll phrase this question as not the best or the most likely, but "what do YOU, Ego, think, if Yana Toboso had a big red button to make exactly one ship canon, would be the funniest and would make the fandom the most in a tizzy" I choose Leona and Neige

bear with me here, because this actually ties into something else I've been thinking about: between the Knight, Leia, and Henrik, Silver is basically the last remaining heir to all the land the Silver Owls stole, yes? but what with all the global territory disputes and treaties and general drama, it'd probably just be a huge mess that would get tied up in red tape for centuries if he, you know, tried to just give it back. however, for times like this, there is the traditional solution...

what I'm saying is, 99% of Briar Valley's political issues could be instantly solved if Silver marries Maleficia.

Your comics about Sebek’s parents are so funny! I was wondering if you have any headcanons about Sebek’s siblings? I think the only canon facts we have is Sebek’s brother is a NRC graduate and Sebek’s sister calls him “Sebek-chan” and they both took Sebek fishing.

thank you! :> I love the Zigvolts a ridiculous amount for characters who have never actually shown up (...yet). I do think Sebek's siblings got a lot more of their dad's personality than he did; everything we hear about them makes them sound waaaay more chill, plus I think they say at some point that Sebek was the only one who had any interest in soldier training. so presumably they've got their own things they're off doing!

anyway, my 100% headcanon bits for them are that 1) they're a lot closer in age to each other than to Sebek (and it's kind of a big gap between them and him), and 2) they both inherited the scales and/or pointy ears. so Sebek is both the baby and also the most human-looking, and he is VERY prickly about both those things. 😔

(I would be SO happy to be proven wrong about all of this though, if they would just give us that Briar Valley hometown event and let us meet any of them--)

I wonder if there’s a joke about Sebek’s parents being dentists means his mom is literally a “Tooth Fairy.”

Imagine Yuu explaining the concept of tooth fairies and someone is like “oh like Sebek’s mom”. And Sebek is like, “My mom doesn’t break into people’s houses to steal teeth!”

Hiiii!!! I really love your drawings and art of Skully with Swing. So I have a little question about them due to the new Diasomnia chapters being released in the EN servers (YAY), so, what kind of “happy ending” stories would Malleus create for those two? Will it be related to their past? Thanks for answering (Sorry if my English is bad lol)

thanks (and also congrats again to Eng on 7.5 🎉)!! I do think the question of what their dreams would be is pretty interesting; Swing's in particular because it's extremely textual (as in, the characters literally say it while essentially staring down the camera) that he doesn't actually care about Halloween, he's just obsessed with Skully, and also neither of them have figured this out. Swing is too emotionally out-of-touch to understand that he's projecting and Skully simply cannot fathom that someone would not be thinking about Halloween 24/7. now how does this translate to magic dreamtimes...

so it gets a bit more headcanon-y here, but I got the impression Swing really just...had a lot of fun chasing Skully around and messing with him, and that's what he actually wants back. Halloween(/Day of Desire) has always just been an excuse. so I feel like his dream is to go back to having their back-and-forth, except this time Skully is 1) still alive and 2) y'know, into it and willing to play along with the whole ~*~epic eternal anime rivalz~*~ thing instead of constantly running away and/or insisting that "holidays are abstract concepts that belong to everyone" and "this doesn't even make sense". maybe they trade off or do, like, a yearly thing where they decide who gets Halloween this time? the important thing is that it's about Skully paying attention to him instead of talking about a stupid holiday or some dumb skeleton man who nobody cares about. >:(

meanwhile Skully's dream is easier because you just gotta remember that he is, after all, still a Night Raven. which is to say, extremely petty.
