the reason podcasts are so popular is because they have recreated the human need for word of mouth stories we've lacked ever since visual media has been popularized. the idea that we can make up what the characters took like, we have to actively use our minds to create scenery and people with vivid descriptions. we can create our own ideas for the characters based on the information given without the restraint of hard visuals. its beautiful when you think about it.
