so, the place I live in is far from a massive market for hockey, to the point that there is no official broadcaster for NHL other than NHL itself to my knowledge. In order to watch the Worlds, I paid for the Worlds Pass on IIHF.TV.

the streams worked perfectly well the entire group stage, and then out of nowhere I could only have access to the Animation and Commentary Feed for the CAN vs USA Elimination game, even though the official broadcaster as per IIHF in my region did not, in fact, broadcast the game. I believe they weren’t even streaming hockey.

what followed was a lengthy email chain between IIHF.TV and I. They were really helpful and eventually, after that game concluded, they told me that access to playoff streams were available to my region again. Of course I was happy! This meant I got at least two more Canda games to watch!

And then the CAN vs FIN quarterfinal game happened. Idk what happened to the defence, the offence, and the goalkeeping. Finland also played really well. I really dont know wtf actually happened in the second period. The point is, now I am wondering if I shouldn’t have tried to fix this streaming issue. Maybe I should have taken a page off Sidney Crosby’s Supserstition™️ Book. Maybe I should just let it all be. Why going through so much back and forth just to see my team got eliminated with my own two eyes instead of them as dots in a lagging animation stream. Why even did I do this to myself. I just want to see my boi (the aforementioned superstitious player) win something. Just why.
