people of the global majority are constantly going through racial trauma within leftist spaces. i can’t help but think this has something to do with the constant unwillingness to really engage with us on our own terms.
i have been coordinating direct aid to thé global majority for a bit now…
and the amount of white leftists i see constantly talk and use black people as talking points but won’t send $5 or even repost or boost a direct aid call. the amount of people i see capitalize off of palestine but not give any direct aid to palestinian people or share or even comment.
i need to remind you that this is live saving aid many of us are trying to cordinate. thé global majority should be prioritized in every form of direct aid. Black people should always be prioritized when it comes to income redistribution. Indigenous people should always be prioritized when it comes to income redistribution. we are trying to ensure the people thé state and society wants dead continue to get the resources to keep them alive. every single like reblog share everything helps.
instead, we don’t get bare minimum communal reciprocity in promoting this aid.
our advocacy of direct aid is not palleatable.
we see white people centered in liberatory spaces and in turn direct aid. this within itself is a constant reminder of our place as thé global majority within leftist spaces.
we are to be seen not heard. counted not considered. tokenized not centered.
