Popular opinion often assumes Rap is merely a genre without substance, where rappers only entertain by speaking on vain, egotistical, and often misogynistic topics. The thing is it doesn’t necessarily have to be. Historically the movement had been a medium for self-expression and creativity. Especially from inner-city kids who used their words to portray situation they were forced to live in and demand much more from the public as well as each other. Guess I like rap a bit and truly can’t wait for rap to evolve.
