Media: Warner Bros cancels Pepe le Pew.
Me: posting even more posts about Pepe.
...
So yeah, that's my plan for the future. WB may not include Pepe in their new projects, but that doesn't mean I will let this blog die. I'll keep posting despite the bad reputation he's receiving.
No, I don't think Pepe is a rapist.
No, I don't support sexual harassment.
Yes, I can differentiate between cartoon fiction and reality.
And as much as I believe Pepe's behavior in real life should be punished with no exceptions, I also think that people shouldn't take cartoons seriously to that extent.
Yes, I can understand his shorts may be outdated (Pepe is 76 years old after all...), but for god's sake just please stop whining - I understand some people may feel uncomfortable while watching these shorts and may dislike him, everyone's different and has their own point of view - but if you don't like it, don't watch it. Don't overanalyze it.
Let cartoons just be what they are and do what they were meant to do - entertaining us with silly gags, beautiful animation, amazing voices.
I'm generally a tolerant person, I'm open to different opinions, but please... chill out and stop taking cartoons too seriously.
