There's a strange but distinct cracking noise from beneath the earth. Before long, an arm rises, twisted in an unnatural direction before it grabs at the ground. Then, a girl with a witch hat pops up, a wide fanged smile on her face.

"Heeeeeeeyyyyy! You're a reflection I've never seen before! Hey hey, what's going on this one?"

The Time Lord stops mid-step as she hears that strange, distinct cracking sound from within the earth. There's nary a moment's pause before she turns back and kneels down next to it, bright blue eyes examining the soil intently.

...And then an arm pops out.

Well, it's not a Silurian.

She pulls out her Sonic, flourishing it briefly before scanning the arm, an eyebrow raising as it twists to grab at the ground... And, then, a moment later, a girl's face pops out to stare back at her.

Unusual. Most unusual indeed.

"Me? Soil inspector", she lies, as she flips the Screwdriver and tosses it back into her pocket. "You're a new one too, though. It's not every day a witch digs her way out of the ground, you know."

[blooming-mayflower]

"SOIL INSPECTOR?! HA! HAHAHAHAHA!" The beast laughs for an uncomfortably long time, mouth wide open to release her needly teeth and what seems to be a vocal impression of a laugh.

Then she snaps it shut with an unimpressed look. "Sure buddy." The Witch-Beast finally crawls out of the ground, briefly exposing her fleshy arm before wearing the skin that's supposed to be there. She dusts off the dirt from her dress, mumbling to herself about an 'old crone'.

Then, she puts her arms behind her back politely and puts on a wide grin. "So Missus Dirt Looker, I'm willing to bet you'd like to give me a grand tour of your reflection? A little looksee at the places I've never seen before?" she asks. "Not everyday I see a reflection as scattered yet weirdly put together at least!"

Sharp teeth, and a bad impression of a laugh... A strange one, indeed.

She stands as the witch(?) crawls forth from the ground, examining her closely all the while. She was generally human-shaped... But so was Ali herself, so that didn't really say anything about who she was or what she could do. Ali was sure she wasn't human, and most likely not from around here (which would be confirmed shortly), but it would take further observation to determine what was going on here exactly.

"I'm afraid you're a bit out of luck if you want a native. I'm a visitor to this reflection too, no different from you." She wasn't sure what she meant by 'reflection', in truth, but she could reasonably deduce that it was either "planet", "universe", or "timeline", and whichever it was she was telling the truth.

"You're free to tag along if you'd like, though. Interesting things have a way of finding me, and I don't just mean you; if you want a story to bring home, you'll certainly get one."

"A challenge, then-" No. No we're not doing this. Down, girl.

She knew sticking around here would be worth it in the end.

Miyoko took a deep breath where she lay in her futon as the words reached her ears, trying not to let her frustration show on her face. This voice, seemingly a twisted reflection of her mother's own, speaking of things she could never fully understand, as if taunting her specifically...

But, of course, that voice had made one major mistake.

"I knew something was wrong here."

She'd proven her suspicions right.

Akemi Miyoko knew her mothers well. She knew, regardless of circumstances, that Kaname Madoka would never be saying anything like that. And she knew, too, that the Kaname Madoka of this timeline was accounted for. Which meant that whoever had stolen her voice must be from another. And for her to come to this record, and seemingly able to not only pick her out of everyone in the city but determine her parentage while avoiding her senses...

She had to be strong. Disconcertingly so.

"I think we're going to be busy, Polaris."

"Yes, Master."

There's A Certain Plot Point that I've touched on in the server; Pansy and I know roughly how that's going to play out for main Aya we just need to actually thread it out but I need to work out how it's going to happen for magical girl Aya here. But it Will happen eventually

Also magical girl Aya's plot needs to happen here. I will continue to say this. It's going to be a long and complicated process though so it's going to be a While

For main Aya, I want to expand on her feelings about idols and meet more idols. Perhaps the most obvious statement possible but it bears repeating. True Idol Fanatic Maruyama Aya

Specifically I think her interacting with MORE MORE JUMP! would be fun since she's just. SUCH an idol-lover. She would be so happy about them going indie and that would be really fun to explore

I said before that I want to expand on Mutsumi being a Pasupa fan, and I think exploring that from Aya's side would be fun too (though tbh it feels more like a Chisato Plot considering her feelings about acting and her own mom). Generally I think it would be fun to have her interact with her fans more

I need to expand on Aya and Yukina's situationship more. It's really funny, and as I'm always saying Minato Yukina is funny in damn near any situation. I need to put them in Situations together a lot more

Very specific but I need to put her in situations with Sayo more too. Sayo your sister-in-law is here and she is going to Cry about something

I don't know why I keep coming back to this, but it's been coming to me over and over again for over a month: I think Magi!Aya meeting @norikokimura's Noriko could be really interesting. Putting someone with mind control powers in a situation that's almost certainly going to lead to a fight thread is always going to be kind of difficult to do properly, but if we did I think it would be interesting from both sides. How would Noriko react to this fluffy, harmless-looking pink woman being a veteran magical girl? Would Noriko get her to use her magic on another magical girl for the first time? And how would they both react to that?

She's fundamentally a PMMM muse, which of course means I need to push her to the absolute limit. Who is Akemi Miyoko when her ideals are stretched as far as they can be? When she's got her back against the wall? We've already seen where Mizuki and Asami go at those points, so she's up next for sure

I think doing something involving her knowledge of the multiverse from traveling with Ali would be fun. Let her pilot a mecha for a bit, she deserves it

While she's in Mitakihara she definitely needs to meet her relatives. She won't tell them who she is, of course, but she would know. In particular her meeting her 'grandparents' would be really interesting to me, though I'm not sure how actionable that would be; her many identical 'aunts' would also be fun considering her Momura is an only child. And Uncle Tatsuya, too!

On a similar note, I'd like her to be more directly involved with stuff in Simonia's PMMM-verse, in general. She might be a pacifist but she's got a lot of knowledge on Witches and magic in general, and she's not against fighting Witches specifically. Also,

I want her to meet Dark Madokami. Related to the first point, I want to push her to her limits, and that would be a damn good way to start doing that!

It would be fun to have her interact with other magical girls, whether they find out who she is or not.

I've said before that all of my Akemis have a drive to them; when they devote themselves to something they do not back down. Homura trying to save Madoka is a great example, but it's definitely in Mizuki, Asami, and Miyoko too. I don't know what would push Miyoko to that extreme, but I'd love to find out.
