Auditions

So, on Monday, four people came to auditions.  We all had a great time, and things were looking up.  I began to cast the four people that had come, along with a few others who took interest and had contacted me separately. I now had 7 out of the 11 I was looking for.  

Today, I held another audition, and no one has come.  This, of course, makes me extremely nervous, and kind of upset by the people who helped me spread the word and were so enthusiastic about participating in this process. I'm sure if I had to, I could do the entire movie with just the people that I have now, but it's not what my full vision is, which is disappointing to me in many aspects.

Hopefully things will turn around, and I'll be able to pull myself out of this and get more people interested, but as of now, the relief and hope I've been experiencing the past few days hasn't lasted. 

Hopefully it gets better before it gets worse again.

My name is Katharyn Burke, and I am the director, choreographer, and producer of the short film Perception Perspective.  I'm super excited to make this film come into being, and so I'm sharing my progress updates, thoughts, and research on a blog, and so here it is!
