Lands Beyond the Stars

Lands Beyond the Stars is an indie turn based RPG by Silvki and Team Starcrossed. You play as a high schooler who gets wrapped up in having to save twelve different worlds alongside their companions. You have to navigate battles by either fighting or acting and sparing, determining the ending you get.

anyway ANNIEEEEEE SOB HIC SNIFF idk annie is so important to meeeeeee

she's so she's sooo. her struggle for control, her self hatred, her self harm, her relationship with jester. the evil and intimidating jester.

her self harm and the battle of control is so. it's so interesting to me.

i don't know, the way her self harm is protrayed kinda feels like shock value a little, but that's sadly common in horror media(which. sucks) but her struggling with it makes total sense to me. Annie is desperate for some control in her life, and self harm provides for that. the self harm also provides an outlet for her sadness anger and frustration, it's a way of venting her own hatred. idk man. it's speaks to me.

as someone who struggles with this stuff, i always yippee upon seeing people like me represented, self harm is so stigmatized(no i'm not saying it should be normalized) and it's often ignored or seen as something horrible and fucked up and it hurts. seeing a character i already feel connected to struggle with it makes me feel more seen. MORE CHARACTERS WHO STRUGGLE WIYH SELF HARM PLEASE!!!!!!!
