Currently sitting with my roommate while she drinks a cider and I do chem homework with the dorm door to the patio is thrown wide open as one of the first big spring thunderstorms rolls in with lightening lighting up the sky and thunder as a low rumbling distant background noise.

The rain finally came and someone out in the courtyard started singing Circle of Life.

My SI for my Chem class tries so hard to put a pep in our step but we are all so glum about life and this class. "Hey we are over half way through the semester." And all our responses are "that's terrifying, less time to pull my grade up."

And I spent a whole MUN meeting writing a paper, fixing my resume, writing a cover letter, and applying to an unpaid job. Why.

Recently every morning before our 8 am my best friend at college makes me coffee in her French press and puts it into my travel mug that she keeps at her place and brings it to me. True friendship.

I'm so ready to get back to school. This five week long break is starting to get to me.

Had a really good lesson last night. The lease horse came in from the pasture with a huge gash, most likely from being kicked, that needed like four staples and a couple stitches so he is done for the count for the week so I rode one of the boarders who I hadn't had the chance to sit on before. She was being ultra sensitive in the mouth and freaking out when I asked for too much. So we spent the whole lesson asking really small simple questions which really allowed me to break down my riding and understand the power of the little pieces. So we asked tiny questions and once I got the correct response I'd drop it and then ask for something else. And slowly we started piecing it together and as soon as I lost the progress we would start all over again. It was frustrating at moments like when she started flipping her head after being nice and relaxed over back only seconds earlier for what felt like the millionth time, but riding her and that lesson was just what I needed.
