A Case of You || Klaus & Minori
@perfume-dandy
Day into night, darkness into light… On and on it went until the cows come home, it would seem.
With a sigh, Minori turned to stare long and hard at her weary reflection, a frown pulled on her lips as a blush dusted the apples of her cheeks. He was there again, she reminisced, and she was completely seized by cowardice.
“… Simply show him the ring, Minori.” She murmured to herself, her eyes moving down to gaze upon the clumsily crafted silver band; the rose colored gem resting snugly on top. “Talking is optional.. Why is this harder than it should be?”
Putting the lovingly crafted ring back into the pocket of her jacket, she smoothed out her hair and sighed yet again. Maybe she’d have better luck tomorrow. She smiled tiredly despite herself, the thought of his intoxicating green hues causing her stomach to flutter.
Goddess.. She was head over heels for Klaus. He has been the apple of her eye since her arrival at Oak Tree Town. He had left a lasting impression on the brunette the first time they spoke. He was clearly far older, wiser, and more mature than most people she’d met. His eyes would sparkle with mischief, and the way his face lit up when he talked about perfumes.. Not to mention he was incredibly good looking as well. How can someone not fall for the black haired man?
Now the man had started to show interest in her recently. She told herself not to overthink the situation, knowing there were other plausible reasons as to why, however what happened a few days ago was more than enough to confirm things. With all that talk about big bad wolves and eating her, not to mention that bit with White Day.. She was sure he was flirting.
So here she was now, a few days later with a ring she fashioned herself and a crumbly resolve to tell him how she feels. Goddess, she hoped she could gather enough heart to hand him the ring.
Klaus had been quietly picking the few flowers that grew around his shops. They were the last of the tulips, just days away from frost and ice. As he rose up from where he had been, he turned his head, noticing a familiar brunette.
“Minori!” his lips curled up into a smile as he approached her. “I haven’t seen you in days!” He dropped his left hand to the side, leaving a single yellow flower in his other. Without saying a word, he quickly pushed the flower between the locks of hair in front of her ear.
“.. Are you alright? You seem a bit tense..” The grin was replaced by a frown as he noticed calloused hands and almost weepy eyes. “You haven’t been working yourself too hard again have you?”
To say that Klaus didn’t care for the farmer would be a lie. He genuinely did, but sometimes he never knew when he was going to far. After every conversation he would panic that he would have upset her or worse, misread his intentions. He just hoped that he wasn’t the cause for the look on her face.
