i saw a thread talking about how some people don't watch the early seasons of cm and i honestly will never understand that.

the first 3 seasons are EXACTLY what criminal minds was supposed to be.

a police drama that told us precisely the process they used to identify the criminals, using examples and actually showing why they thought every single aspect of the profile.

it was TEAMwork. not just reid and garcia singlehandedly solving the case.

and there's the "oh i couldn't stand gideon" thing. babygirl, gideon couldn't stand himself. he was doing the job because he felt a sense of obligation with the victims, that it was what he needed to do until the day he died, and that's perfectly how mandy patinkin portrayed him.

"the effects are silly and cheesy" THAT'S THE BEST PART?? the chroma key, the zoom-ins and suspense music in the background, the dramatic cuts to end an episode with a cliffhanger. majestic.

that's not a hate to people who don't like the earlier seasons or gideon or anything i spoke about, to let this extremely clear. everyone is allowed to have an opinion and you're not wrong just because you disagree with me.
