Introducing yourself to people is so embarrassing. Like hey this is my stupid fucking name, I enjoy exactly 3 things, and am clearly anxious. please don't immediately hate me

Nicko Cecchini (Canadian, d.o.b. unknown) - Defensive Measures (2026)
Molar
At the age of eleven he discovers a fascination with teeth, proudly displaying his baby teeth on his dresser.
He’s lost all but one baby tooth, a molar holding strong. The day he notices it’s loose he compulsively wriggles his tongue against it while it shifts around his gums before it’s stuck slightly forward.
Twisting and turning, the small movements turn into reverse drilling.
He’s overcome with the need to be rid of it.
With all his might he pushes against it, but his tongue slips. Wiping his fingers on his shirt, he attempts to grip the tooth, but can’t get his fingers to grasp the wet bone. Instead, he scoops it in his shirt and yanks back and forth against resistance.
Despite the pain, he has to get it out.
Warm blood dribbles down his chin, fills his mouth with metal. The tooth is close, but stubborn. His grip slips and his body goes white hot, frenzied with pain and obsession. The tooth sits askew in his mouth.
His shirt has a blooming red stain, a small tear in the center. There’s not enough space in his brain to worry what his mother will say when she sees it.
A second wave of panic hits him as he uses another part of his shirt to dry and grip the molar, holding it tight between thumb and forefinger, channeling all strength into the one moment he finally twists and yanks it free, red hand holding delicate white.
He turns it over, admiring the ridges before tucking it into his pocket like a secret.

Short Horror
I just uploaded my first horror short on here and Wattpad, it would mean the world to get feedback. I've been too nervous to show anyone for so long, but I really want to improve my writing. Thank you <3
