One of the things I feel is unexplored in fanf fanfic is the idea Henry was a terrible person beyond being neglectful and psssive. Like an actual asshole on par with William. Because largely of what we know of Henry is ethier filtered due to Henry's grief, trough robot Charlie (who obviously be more biased to her dad) and the fact that ANYONE can look 100 times better than William Afton
For sake of the argument, I will try not to bring up SOTM until the end
Firstly, novels, which is arguably the most we get of Henry personality. Now, it's practically known at this point, Henry ditched his wife and Sammy Emily because of his grief of losing Charlie. Tragic. But, what i feel get glossed over is the fact Henry prefers Charlie over sammy so much, Henry abandoned him and made a robo Charlie. Oh, and proceed to tell robot Charlie that SAMMY was the one who got kidnapped and died. That alone is disturbing. Oh and when he get ephinany that robot charlie isn't real Charlie, so he just proceed to off himself. Like with no thought about his OTHER living child.
"Okay, but Sammy is implied to be non canonical", yes, but the novels are essentially aus, thus, it's what Henry is capable of.
Also, while I do understand it comes from a level of greif, but making adolescent, teen and adult versions of your dead three year old daughter is... weird, to be say the least. Also, how he proceed to off himself thus leaving robot charlie, traumatized, unaware of her true nature, and no viable way to grow up beyond teen stage. Also, forcing your single, older sister in an akaward position where she had to raise robo Charlie, and effectively force her to raise this child.
Fnaf 6, is tricky, as one Mike might have wanted to die anyway, but it would not matter as Henry effectively left us no choice
Basically, the idea repeated here is Henry tends to ,accidentally or not, rob people of choice, but he is more passive. Whether it's robbing robot charlie her chance to grow up, sammy of having a relationship with his dad, aunt jen having choice over the charlie custody thing or letting Mike burn. Hell, even his novel death, stabbed by a robot he made, is a weird way, to symbolically rob his own agency in death.
Now this is stretching over headcanon territory
Firstly, Henry is implied in every iriteration he is the robot guy, at least in the beginning of the company. Which makes sotm more sinster. After all, Henry is the tech guy, and while William is doing business, it's likely Henry did the commission. Also, here's something. William afton is surprisingly not trusted by edwin, but Henry is. Which goes angainst pre established lore in games, books and even the movies, that William looked more generally trustworthy than Henry. Therefore, I think Henry played more active role in edwin downfall.
Edwin was warned beforehand that fazbears was not to be trusted in business by his father, so it's likely this was the reason edwin was distant with William. Enter Henry, the equally weird, shadowy robot guy of the company. It's likely Henry let down edwin gaurd because how similar they were.
This is me just ranting, and opinion
