Editing vs patience

In writing there is one thing that everyone dislikes.

Editing.

I agree, editing is so annoying! I just want to publish my book but I have to spend a month editing it is so annoying!

It's even worse when you have a goal to publish this many before a specific date editing is slow and messes things up and you have no patience.

Don't worry you are not alone editing sucks.

It's like editing and patience is having a war that will never work, they can never be together it just won't end well.

All we want to do is finish our book fast so you can have it but editing makes that time way longer then you expected.

But here is a tip: Editing is annoying and you have no patience but if you keep rushing through you will miss stuff and it won't be the best it can be.

So yeah editing is awful, but better to just get through it and try to be patient then rush through it and make your book not as great has to want it to be.

Another weekend blog

So a lot of stuff happened this week.

Right at this moment my sibling did something and told my other sibling and the other sibling was going to tell me but she said don't tell her.

DO YOU KNOW HOW RUDE THAT IS! SHE DOESN'T EVEN KNOW SHE IS DOING IT!

Also, my dad's friend died from cancer it was sad.

And I'm at the climax at my book, I don't know if it is just me but I love writing climaxes its so suspenseful, I love it.

I'm not ready for the rest of the week it's going to be boring.

I also scrapped my idea for my future book because of that same sister that told the my other sibling but not me.

I bottle my feelings because every time I talk about them the person always ignores or cuts in front of me and doesn't understand the whole story.

So my later book was the character that is like me has that problem and bottles feelings and later has a emotional breakdown like I get every now and then in real life and the main character would see what was wrong to do something about it and sees all the time I bottle my feelings with my family.

But after that moment I scrapped that idea realizing that I don't want to be reminded of those times.

And after that moment the bottle filled with emotion and I had a emotional attack in my room but now I am happy because the bottle is empty.

Also that is why I started a blog so I can write my feelings down and my bottle won't fill up.

That's a good tip for all of you too even though I have basically no followers.

So that was my weekend also my sibling allows my dad to keep her pet axolotl in the basement because he hangs out with him which is nice.

So i'm going to talk to my sibling of how rude that is to do that and say not to tell me like she doesn't trust me!

I hope she doesn't snitch like she always does and she tries to make herself look innocent which makes her get her way but makes everything worse for me.

I have no idea why I put this gif I just like it.

Permission

So when writing, you have to think about what you are writing.

Like for example, today my siblings were talking behind my back and being annoying!

I got permission to say that.

I don't like saying my feelings so I bottle them which DON'T do so I started a blog on blogger app but it didn't do well so I started this one and do a fun blog every weekend so I don't explode with emotion.

If you want to add a situation like it to your story you need permission to do it because it is about that thing that they did.

It's no copyright (I will do that for a later blog) but doing this could lead to problems.

Also your situation you might add to your story can be similar if they didn't give you permission you must make that situations different so the people or things in the situation don't think it is the situation that happened.

If they didn't give you permission make the characters doing that situation do different things, act different ways then your situation and make it as different as possible.

But if they did give you permission try to still make things different but it can be for the most part similar to the situation just don't say it happened for real life unless you get permission to.

If you are keeping what you are writing a secret you may not need permission just make it different enough that they don't notice but for the most part ask permission if you are writing about something involving people or things so no problems.

Fun weekend blog!

It's my first fun weekend blog.

Every weekend I post a non-writing related blog and just right about stuff that is happening to me.

For St Patrick's day I am going to put up 300 the rock photos all around my house as a lepricon so far I have 168 and I am about to print more and no one suspects anything.

My sibling is going to California because it is their senior year and she is doing it for fun.

I am going to the movie Hoppers on Tuesday and the next day I will hang out with my cousins and have a sleep over.

Also because my sibling is going to California me and my family are going to a hotel for fun for one night.

I am begging my parents to buy diving rings because we are going swimming in the pool and we love diving for rings they said they would but they haven't ordered them yet.

So I do have a lot of things planned, now if you excuse me I'm going to print out more Dwayne the rock Johnson photos.

Going with the flow or working everyday.

When writing, you could work everyday and have like a plan and publish your book at a certain date, or just go with the flow and don't care when it's done and work on it when you want.

A lot of people don't know which one they want because if they go with the flow you might keep pushing it off and working everyday on it will be stressful.

Don't worry this happens a lot, but your looking at the bad things about each, what about the good things?

Going with the flow:

When you get inspiration, the work often feels fresh exciding and effortless.

It honors your natural energy peaks, whether you follow seasonal, monthly or harmonical cycles.

Working on it each day:

Showing up everyday refuses high-stakes pressure and by working everyday just like your body you can build writing muscles.

These are good ways and good reasons why each are good but good authors and I definitely recommend is doing both!

doing both is good because you won't push it off because you have a plan, and you can take breaks every now and then to release stress.

What I mean is you work on it at least like how about 4 times a week and you can pick what days and if you only do 3 that's fine but at least 2.

Going with the flow, working each day and both are all good ways but it depends on your goals too.

Like if you want to be done at a certain day you should probably work every day but don't over do it.

If you don't care when, go with the flow BUT work on it every now and then so you can get it done.

And it is okay to take breaks every now and then, and if writing helps you relax then do it but remember to take breaks even small ones.

Personality traits.

Each of your characters of your books needs personality traits.

It could be all the same as yours or all different or some yours and some not yours.

Also if you have inspiration from another book series and your book is kinda close to their series and some characters are the same too, maybe make some of your personality traits different from theirs so it doesn't look like your copying.

Also personality traits also can affect how your story goes so you have to make your personality traits work with your story.

Here are some personality traits:

Easy-going, shy, self-centered, optimistic, bold, fierce, alert, adaptable, gentle, calm, brilliant, fair, firm, kind, strong, peaceful, popular, patient, loyal, lovable, relaxed, healthy, over-protective, clueless, dynamic, heroic, balanced, sober, confident and more!

Also the more personality traits the more complex the characters will get but too much traits will make the character too complex and get the readers confused but to little will make your reader bored of your characters.

Try your best with personality traits just be aware that your traits you chose might effect how your story goes.

Stuck? Tips and more on thinking bout a story.

The first part in writing a book is thinking of the story.

This is the most important part because this is the thing people are reading and liking.

But thinking of a story is really hard.

Here are some tips:

you can base your story on your favorite animal

You can base your story off something that happens in your lifetime but change things.

If you are taking inspiration from something, make the characters personalities different from that book but you can keep the personalities you like.

Also make the story different but a little like their story, make your book as different as you can.

maybe if they did human characters you can do animal characters.

Also here is an important tip:

Make your story in the middle.

You can make a story one you don't like and don't want to write but the story is super popular to other people.

Or you can make a story you LOVE but the viewers don't like it as much.

Just be in the middle find a story you like to write about and you don't know if viewers will like it or not but if you add things you think you will like and you still like to write.
