fully Redisigned Aeliana and Aegir (goldrenrods parents)

#ocs #my ocs #i really like how they look now. more majestic (even though the only time i ever drew em was in a meme post.)#they are background characters afterall within the story. but i thought sense they were a small window-#-into how unicorns age i should make them look more wise. powerful and whimsical #Aegir (the father) his name means the personification of the sea #Aeliana (the mother) means sun / light in Latin #i wanted Aeliana to look scared and worn. as female unicorns get into more danger. those scars were caused by a wild cougar she survived.#the horns also have alot to them #Aeliana's horn has cracks and notches on the back of it. as she uses it frequently as a weapon while doing her duties.#Aegirs horn has worn down notches on the front side of his horn. as male unicorns tend to use thie horns more as tools / forms of play.#its been worn down from hundreds of years of friendly sparing with his herd

Drawing monsters/body horror pros: oddly good anatomy practice! Colors are often super fun and enjoyable to do! shading is super super fun! and hell so is sketching the idea out!!! Drawing monsters/body horror cons: Lineart.

#When doing complex shit in general lineart is the BANE of my existance ohhh my god.#thats why alot of my later stuff doesnt have lineart to begin with #but apparently i FOGRGOT THAT and did line art for the one im currently working on #im a complainer and ima complain that that lineart took me an entire DAY to finish.

Completely forgor to ask you but what do you think about Portal 2, Glados specifically

I loved portal 2 i love all those robot goobers (though i did get stuck on too many puzzles than id like to admit)

But glados. GLADOS MY WIFE.

Listen i know everybody and thier mom loves glados but ima glaze her some more cus you gave me the go to.

I love her voice its so iconic and fun. So oddly human yet so cold. cold enough to remind you she is just a sassy killer robot.

Shes sassy and just bullies you constantly and i love that!! I want more villans that just bully you stright up.

Calling you fat and adopted like a middleschooler its so funny and just makes you wanna beat the game more.

Yet there is an odd tenderness to her at least by the end. Yeah she tells you to get lost. Deletes that more human part of herself. She tells you to fuck off basically.

Yet she doesnt kill you like she says she would the entire games. She just lets you go free.

The other bots sing a song to you. She gives you back the companion cube. The cube she made you get attached too as you were alone the enite time. Then makes you burn and destroy.

She "fixes" it and gives it back.

She hates you and never wants to see you again.

But the killer mad scientist robot doesnt kill you.

She just lets you free and gives you something too.

In short

Awwwww glados you liiike us. You likeeee us enough not to kill us awww you like uss💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖 (<- how id get shot 10,000 times by her)

#portal is a classic for a reason its so good and glados is so funny i love her
