THIS CAT IS FROM AN ANIME
I’m about to tell you the story of my life. More specifically, why my life ended. And if you’re listening to this tape you’re one of the reasons why.
Musicals don’t get enough credit for being so surreal. It’s like an alternate universe.

This Morning in New York
This morning in New York, 432,456 people woke up, looked out their window, and sang three lines of Here Comes The Sun. 92,004 of them fell back asleep, 140,456 jerked off, and 32,444 fucked the person in bed next to them. 37 of them didn’t remember the name of the person they were fucking, and only 6 of them cared.
This morning in New York 82,875 people ordered an iced coffee for the first time since last summer, and 36 girls were fingered on a church pew. 9 of them came before rising to recite the Lord’s Prayer. 1,456 sous chefs poached more than 26,000 eggs for a brunch crowd that will drink 76,452 mimosas and 12,002 bloody marys.
On this day, before the sun came up, 5,678 people woke up crying as they curled their legs beneath their blankets and struggled for comfort. 126 cab drivers peed while driving, and doctors and nurses said goodbye to more than 300 patients. This morning, right here in New York, 4 million people said I love you, 73 of them for the first time.
18 men woke up on the subway to discover someone had put food next to them on the bench, and more than 14,354 dollar bills were handed out to someone in need. 643 people left their partners, and only 85 of them would return.
This morning in New York, 289 people woke up with bruised bottoms and smiles on their lips. 16 of them nestled in between two lovers and fell silently back to sleep.
Today, as the sun rose over the city and the street lamps dimmed down to nothing, 8 million people took a breath at exactly the same time.

I really like writing these, partially because I get to lie back and think about city around me and wonder what the hell everyone is doing.

Here’s a piece I started before Kyle’s death. I haven’t felt much like drawing lately, which is really strange for me. I decided to bite the bullet and go ahead and finish it. I think it turned out well.
