both are “therapy” albums - intense self-scrutiny, self-examination through trauma, relationships etc. both are remarkably earnest and human. both are bold, vulnerable and honest follow ups to their most commercially successful projects. both are largely about healing and the raw, painful process of it. also please listen to washing of the water and have it transition into die hard. this makes so much sense in my head
