We used my parents loft as our practice space (I’m sure much to the displease of my poor parents! haha)
We used this recording equipment to make demos. I didn’t know it’s full pottential before selling it on years later. But it served us well for the time that we did use it for.
Singing is like a celebration of oxygen
Bjork
Pictured are: Jack (my little brother) far left, Shane (Jack’s school friend) upper middle, Rhys (Jack’s school friend) far right and Myself at the bottom. This was the beginning of the next chapter to my musical journey…
After getting my first tattoo (like a lot of people) I felt the need to get more! So this was my second to be done.
Fast forwarding slightly. 10-Kv recorded several other demo’s and then it all just kind of fizzled out so my little bro and I carried on as before, writing tunes and practicing. Here is our final track that we recorded before the next stage of my musical journey took place!

Discovering music
Discovering music that you like is such a beautiful thing. It fills the heart with joy and makes you feel incredible. Even for the tunes that are of the more sombre category... Music takes a part in helping to shape us as the people we are today. It is our choice whether we want to take notice of the lyrical content within songs or if we just want to dance along to an awesome tune! My personal experience with music is that it is a very deep and meaningful thing, without music I would not be the person that I am today! I use music to express how I feel, to get past difficult times and to also celebrate happy times! What’s your story?
On this Demo my Dad is playing the acoustic guitar. I think this has got to be one of my most treasured demo’s. Family means a hell of a lot to me.
Here is another one of our instrumentally completed demo’s. Incredibly untidy, out of tune and out of time! But still, it’s a beautiful memory of mine nonetheless. This track was also aired on Radio Caroline by a friend many years ago! It recently turned 11!
I have just found a physical copy of one of our old demo's! Apparently it recently turned 11 years old. Bloody hell!!
This demo was one of mine and my brothers first ever completed peices of music together. This is so messy and old!!
Here is one of our demo’s. I so rarely show this music to people but I am really enjoying sharing my musical journey on here!
In those discouraging days, I always missed the mark
Coheed and Cambria, Dark Side Of Me
After some time of My little brother and i writing together, we found two guys, Dean and Dan, who wanted to start up a band! We named the band 10-kv (unsure why!) and began writing together. The style of music was very confused! Dean and Dan were in to music like The Stereophonics whilst Jack and I were in to the more rocky kind of music like Korn and Papa Roach. So yeah, really confused sound!
Kate Bush was another incredible artist that I discovered around the age of 11. Beautifully weird and catchy music. Creative lyrically not to mention her live shows which was a true stage performance rather than just singing a song to a crowd!
Queen was the first band that I could call myself a genuine fan. My dad bought me my first CD by Queen when I was 11 years old which was the album “A Day At The Races” and I was truly blown away by every single track! I can’t choose a favourite song.
