Woops, the whole catching and spinning and tossing him up thing was not what Bart had been expecting from his tackle attempt. But the kid was laughing, grinning, legs flailing as if still trying to run while he dangled in the air.
“Oh oh! We should go to the beach. And the amusement park. This new epic one opened in California and then you don’t haveta just spend your summer making kissy faces at girls,” he finished with a wrinkle of the nose. Bart didn’t get it. Why just lay around when you could be out building sand castles or splashing people or fighting bad guys or seeing how many times you go go on the tilt-a-whirl before your stomach rebelled on you.
Bart had an unfair advantage there.
“But I love makin’ kissy faces at girls.” He deposited Bart back on the ground after a moment, reaching up and stretching languidly like that’d really woken him up. Man, he’d missed this ball of energy - Hawaii was fun and crammed full of people Superboy adored, but he had other pals too.
That sounded great! Beaches, amusement parks - he could go to all those places himself, or with Roxy (or Tana if he could get hold of her, but she was usually working and had fortified her office against Superboy’s kidnapping attempts these days), but there was something different about going with bros. Maybe they could rope Robin into it too - he’d been dying to get an answer to their bet on the Boy Wonder owning Batman swim shorts.
“We gotta do all those things! We oughta drag everyone else out, too - the Teen Titans go everywhere with each other, why not Young Justice?”
