"Fucking A, of course he is. And there's lots and lots of him apparently. I'm sold give me all of them." Gillian paused for a moment, "I'm kidding honestly, you're kind of shit at selling a customer. But yeah, I'm a tourist." She shrugged, "A friend of mine gave me a paperback of a comic called Radiant Black, I was into it so maybe something like that if you've heard of it. If not then just something you'd think I'd be into." She scrunched up her face at the imagery that was being given to her against her will, "For all I know your baby faced ass is the fedora king. Who knows what you were up to before I walked in here. Maybe you were pulling your chainsaw or some shit."
"Mm, no I'm here to stop people stealing shit more than anything," he smiled, because Pete wasn't inherently awful, he just didn't have a lot of patience for that which did not interest him. "For real though, it uses surreal terrors to talk about humanity's anxieties, class struggles, societal fears... You could try something like..." He came around the counter, wandering down one of the aisles until he found what he was looking for, "The Power Fantasy. Has a bunch of supers that get treated like nukes instead of beacons of virtue, and it's all about the sneaky spy shit that goes on undercover to keep them from openly trying to decimate each other. Main character is black, and there's lesbians." He handed Gillian the comic, considering his work done. "You literally saw me sorting my pokemon cards. I'm trying to become a fuckin' scalper so I can buy somethin' nice for my girlfriend," he laughed, "not getting very far but it's better than blowing my money on crack, I guess."
