‘Maria’ concept bike by Ishii Tatsuya (1999)
“Musician, artist, event producer, and designer. Ishii Tatsuya’s incredible concept bike was created for his production of the 1999 Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance Road Race. Named “Maria”, (after the robot temptress in Fritz Lang’s Metropolis we can only assume) the all chrome bike was complete with a fully costumed woman rider. The fate of the amazing Maria after her debut event remains unknown.“
