Rotterdam Lab Award Write, Pitch, Celebrate

Just returned from the second Midpoint Feature Launch workshop in Pisek, Czech Republic where we participated with the project, Asunden. The workshop ended with a public pitch to a panel of industry experts from Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, Sundance Labs, Rotterdam Film Festival, Israeli Film Fund and more. During the obligatory awards ceremony, Asunden won the Rotterdam Lab Scholarship Award. This January, Asunden producer, Eliza Jones, will travel to Rotterdam to network, learn and represent our project at this important festival. Thank you! Read more at Cineuropa.

The New Bauhaus New Film in Production

The New Bauhaus is the story of how László Moholy-Nagy brought a movement to Chicago. As the Nazis took over Germany, many of the displaced Bauhaus masters found refuge in the United States. In 1937, László Moholy-Nagy came to Chicago to start the New Bauhaus. The school was far from successful initially, but through its various incarnations, Moholy-Nagy and the New Bauhaus forever transformed design, photography and arts education in America and beyond. This World is Not My Own New Film in Development

Mythical forest creatures, chewing gum sculptures, handmade dolls, a firebrand wrestler, a Kuwaiti art school for kids, a wealthy arts patron, a century old murder case and the segregated south – it’s all part of Nellie Mae Rowe’s fantastical universe. This World is Not My Own reimagines this self-taught artist’s life from 1900 to 1982, a tumultuous and transformative time in our nation’s history.
