Dear Hasbro,
As a devoted fan of the Littlest Pet Shop cartoon I was very excited to see that a live production had been put together featuring all my favorite characters, like Sunil Nevla and Pepper Clark. As much as I liked Littlest Pet Shop Live, however, there was something about it that I feel just didn’t capture the Littlest Pet Shop spirit. After several close viewings, I discovered what was so off-putting to me.
The Littlest Pet Shop franchise is known for its extra-large heads, and frankly the skulls of these characters are youth-medium at best. So, as a favor to you, I set out to envision an experience more faithful to the cartoon we know and love. By using the standard measure of 1 Fergus=Russell Ferguson’s height from chin to toes, we can approximate how large Live Russell’s head should be to match Canon Russell’s.
Using this measurement, we can also determine how large the other pets’ heads should be. Vinnie and Zoe’s heads are both roughly 1 Fergus tall, Penny’s is roughly 1.5 Fergi.
At this point, I was going to calculate how many Fergi tall the live pet actors should be, when the most glaring problem with this production dawned on me:
Blythe’s size flies in the face of established Littlest Pet Shop canon. To remedy this, I measured Canon Blythe’s height in Fergi and applied the same measurement to Live Blythe.
Assuming the actress portraying Blythe in the live show is 64 inches, roughly average height for an adult American woman, and roughly 1.2 Fergi tall, we can calculate 1 Fergus equals roughly 53.33 inches. Therefore, In order to accurately portray Blythe as roughly 9.5 Fergi tall, an actress must be in the ballpark of 506.66 inches- or 114 feet - tall. That may sound impractical, but would be a great way to send to kids the message that they can grow up to be anything they want to be. Young children will be reassured that even if they grow to 95 times normal height, there will always be opportunities for them.
Fun facts:
It would take roughly 11,062,719.3 Canon Blythe Baxters to reach from the Earth to the moon.
Canon Blythe’s head is roughly 8 Live Blythes wide
If one of canon Blythe’s eyes appeared in the live show, it would be larger than almost all children in attendance.
Obviously, these conclusions are based on some gross rounding, but clearly whatever rounding your guys did to get the costumes you designed was much grosser. I will continue to be a fan of Littlest Pet Shop, but I hope that you value your consumer’s time more in the future with more faithful adaptations of your greatest work.
-Sincerely, A Fan
Couldn’t resist buying this super adorable Littlest pet shop decorative pillow <3 . They had couple other ones too, kinda wanna buy those also at some point.

What if…..?
(I Imagined if Cooper and Quincy Goatee met, to me they look similar, but one’s a goat, one’s a deer.)
