Whenever I start playing Petz again I always read back through this blog because it’s just so fun. I love seeing the creative and sometimes horrifying breeding results haha. To make it up to you guys, I have a SPECIAL BREEDING COUPLE.

This is Slobbers.

And I'm not 100% certain she has a head!

The breed is actually called a 'wildbeast'. Supposedly, it's from a cartoon by the name of Ben 10. I am aware of said cartoon, just never actually watched it.

But this breed is still pretty interesting even if I have never seen the show.

Yellow! Fangs! Claws! Shoulder thingie! FLUFFY TENTACLE THINGS?!

I have no idea if those are tentacles on it's legs and face or what.

But just... Look at that. Look at it.

BEHOLD IN THE DISTURBING MAJESTY.

...So yes.

Now, for a control subject, I wanted to mate Slobbers with a run of the mill breed. Something you'd be aware of who came where with the offspring.

This is Max. He's a german shepherd.

And I don't actually know if this breed came with the game or not. I JUST HAVE SO MANY BREEDS NOW.

But Max is pretty plain and standard and AVERAGE.

Which is exactly what I need in this matchup.

Max is understandably a little bit nervous about this whole affair.

Just look at his face. He has no idea what to do.

...Slobbers may or may not believe he is edible. She may or may not be correct.

But the two square off, looking at each other to get their bearings.

Max is at least giving this a chance!

...But what do you even SAY to a lady like Slobbers?

"I KNOW NOT WHAT TO DO." Says Max.

But Max gets closer and closer.

And the two... Give it a chance.

There's even some PLAY TIME.

The Big Bad Wolf + Pig = ?!?

HI AGAIN GUYS.

The holidays have been kinda running me ragged, so today we're gonna do SOMETHING DIFFERENT.

This is Oink.

...And Oink IS A PIG.

See, I haven't used the pig breed in a while. It's a fan-made duplicate of the pig that exists in game, except breed-able with dogz!

Usually, I breed them with crazy things. Angeldogs and the sort.

And I think both the pigs and you nice readers are a bit tired of it.

See? Lookit those tired, tired eyes.

... WELL TOO BAD.

Yeah, roll your eyes, little missy.

Today, we're gonna breed with something I don't take out often due to, uh, genetic discrepancies.

This is Rufus.

And I don't see those back legs being an issue at all.

A pretty straightforward breed.

Big! Furry! Ebony shaded with deep glowey red eyes!

FLOOFY.

Aaaand a bit psychotic.

But that's the joy of these fluffy demon puppies.

...Hi. Finals week ended yesterday.

So that's pretty much where I've been for the last short while. Whoops.

BUT ANYWAY.

This is Red.

And he's A BISON.

YEEEAH.

Oh, hexed breeds, how I have missed you.

This bison breed is actually a dogz breed and is not too badly put together, really.

Stout, hoof-like appendages, horns...

The eyes kinda blend in, but you can SEE them.

"I WILL FLY, I SWEAR, ONE DAY"

...And they like to jump around and attempt to defy gravity.

SO YES.

Now, because I'm a big doofus, I've decided that I wanted to try and give a bison a set of wings.

And what's the best winged breed to try and do this with, I thought?

Why, it's an old favorite...!

The angeldog! YUP.

This... Is Lucky.

Ands he's pretty standard as far as the breed goes.

Proud, fierce, single horn, a little bit of bling...

Though, I went for an all silver coat this time around, and without any bracelets.

Didn't wanna clog the offspring too much.

At first, they stared at each other for many a time. Unsure how to feel.

Lucky tried to show off how strong she was, and puffed up in all her glory.

After a time, the two started to at least chat a little.

Though there was still a whole lot of staring.

...Red is startled by how confidant this lovely lady is.

I haven't played with a trinket OR a turkish van in a while.

For those that may not remember either breed, here's a somewhat atypical turkish van kitty.

White, shaded tail and ears, though they don't USUALLY have two different colored eyes. Whimsy here is a bit out of the norm.

Now, you may be wondering: "Why is there a background in this picture?"

Well, y'see...

...He's a little TOO pale. Just blends right in to a white backdrop.

It kinda brings out his eyes even more, but... Ehn.

He's a heck of a goofball, too.

SO YES.

Now, as for a trinket?

You remember those, right, guys?

Tiny, fluffy, sometimes with wings, sometimes with bows.

USUALLY super extra tiny kitties.

...This is Disco.

... And I really have no idea what happened.

She WAS a normal trinket size out of the adoption center.

...But then she grew up.

... And up. And up some more.

AND IS NOW A GIANT TRINKET.

She's secretly one of those 'random' breeds. Similar to the shelterdog, but with less variety. Box the near-poodle is one of those varieties.

ALMOST POODLE. YAAAA.

...Yes. You guys don't know how tired I am right now.

As you can see, her proportions are just SLIGHTLY off.

Things are just a bit wonky, with fur bits all over.

She's also a great deal more silly than a normal poodle.

Which means a whole lot of weird things can be passed down.

She's a pretty standard mutt. Nice color, big butt spot..

Slowly, Stanley came around.

Spooks, it seems, wasn't that bad of a mutt to Stanley's high poodly standards.

A squat, fluffy mutt-colored poodle. Itty bitty feet. Mutt ears.

Poodle hair floof and an adorable little face.

Curiously, she's mute. No idea why. Also, mutt personality.

Quest for the new Monkeyowl PART TWO

..So I thought I'd give trying to re-breed a new Monkeyowl a shot. Again.

Hey, I got PRETTY DARN CLOSE the first time.

But this time, I'm gonna try it with a better color choice for the gryphon parent.

This is Mek.

Aaaand he's as about as close to the original Monkeyowl's parent that I can remember?

...CLOSE ENOUGH.

Mek is a pretty standard gryphon.

Front and back different colors, big floofy tail, front limbs a different color.

He's also something of a goofball.

"THIS IS MY CURIOUS FACE."

But also a worrywart.

But s'okay.

'Cause the second parent is gonna be a pretty run-of-the-mill Vulpix, just like the original recipe.

HELLO JESTER.

Yes, her name is Jester. The game suggested it.

She's.. ... Well, a vulpix.

The breed has NO variety. At all.

Vulpix is what you want, vulpix is what you get.

YEP.

This is Fluffball. And she's an angelkitty.

I haven't played with angelkitties for a while.

SO HERE WE GO.

Fluffball is a pretty stereotypical angelkitty.

White. Blue eyes. Wings. Horn. Golden whiskers.

Pretty much every hallmark of a good angelkitty.

She even has the fluffier fur type!

Though, she's a bit skittish.

But she does have lots of nice bits going on.

So you know what she's gonna make babies with?

WIZARD THE MAGE CAT.

...He's become a bit of a favorite of mine.

Spots, weird tail, nice bright eyes...

Prime for the gene play.

So, the idea here is to make an angelkitty with wings AND mage kitty spots. Honestly, I just wanna see how it works together.

SO NOW.

Mage and angel meet.

At first, Wizard was a bit dubious of this coupling.

I mean, super dubious.

Fluffball was absolutely, totally gung-ho for it, though.

LOOK AT THAT FLIRTY SWANK.

Eventually, though, Wizard came around and started to hesitantly flirt back.

Slowly. Cautiously.

...And then just melted in to a puddle of happy mage kitty.

These two fell for each other HARD.

There wasn't a bit of fighting or tussling; just... Pure, fast love.

...But not wings. ALMOST.

Kinda really like the look, though.

I was hoping the wings would somehow turn purple, but yellow works, too.

HEY. GUYS. Remember that demonic spine weird horned dog breed?!

... There's apparently a CATZ VERSION, TOO.

This is Candy Corn.

And she's got allll the parts.

ALL OF THEM.

For some reason, this breed is called a Silver Tabby.

Which is weird because the breed is neither silver nor a tabby.

Sassy, yes. Silver? Tabby? Not so much.

I kept on taking them in and out of the adoption center to see if silver tabby was a variant, but had no such luck.

I DO, however like those golden eyelids.

And Candy Corn IS quite nutty, which is always a good thing.

Sassy demonic kitty lady.

Who do I pair such a fantastic creature with?!

HELLO WIZARD.

..Okay, sure, both of these cats generally have the same body parts, but LOOK AT THE COLORS.

White and purple and spots.

And Candy Corn is everything but.

I kinda like this pairing.

I have no idea how Candy Corn balances on those little nails, but Wizard seems to be impressed.

Candy Corn, the odd kitty she is, made a lot of faces like this during their courting.

Even when Wizard admired her, Candy Corn pulled interesting expressions.

Honestly, it might just be her face; maybe that IS her loving face.

Though, I really have no proper explanation for THIS.

Stumbling along for breeds once again~

... And I found THIS THING.

This is Wizard.

And he's apparently a 'mage cat'.

Or just the polkaspotted wonder of doom, whichever you prefer.

Yup, a MAGE CAT.

...Which, as a breed, seems to have a total of zero variations.

Just one look for the entire breed. And this is that look.

Mostly white, purple ears and tail stripes, and weird blue spots with purple outlines all over.

And pink-ish eyes? Red? Pink? LIGHTISH RED?

Though, Wizard here does have one fortunate feature.

He's hella seductive.

LOOK at that pose. Just look at it.

He might be a contortionist.

Either way, he's kinda fantastic.

There was instant, mutual curiosity between these two.

Seriously, Wizard saw the robo vulpix and was all "THIS IS INTERESTING :D"

They stalked each other in a circle for a while.

A dance of questions and desires.

A TANGO.

Tango led pretty quickly to just plain ol' love.

They were smitten.

Seriously, they hit it off waaay too fast.

Such a cuddlin', these two had.

...And then they farted on each other for a while.

... They seemed to enjoy each others' butts, at any rate.

Vulpix offspring DO seem to have a lot of 'body suit' patterns going on.

Head a different color, some robot limbs got passed down.. Socks... And mage cat bits.

Another 'body suit' vulpix baby, but this time with mage cat spots!

...Aand the robo cat color makes it look as if it were shaved.

OOPS.

Heh, this one isn't bad. A little scruffy.

Orange vulpix color all over, mage cat spots, a bit of purple on the tail, and... Gold? Brown? Yellow eyes?

Kind of maniacally evil all the time, though.

... Where did the gray come from? NONE of the parents or grandparents had gray.

Maybe a gene mutation. Eh.

He's a, uhm... Technically a demondog.

With a very odd looking pompom-tipped horn going on.

With whom, you may be wondering?

This is Demon.

And she is very much demonic.

...But half poodle, half angeldog.

Pretty straightforward, though.

Two parents with two very different sets to contribute to BABIES.

Demon is already unhappy about this.

BUT ANYWAY.

THEY SHALL MEET.

Hornhead and Demon stumble across each other.

..In to mutual confusion.

Then, Hornhead is SMITTEN.

Goofily smitten!

...Demon, not so much.

Demon tries to assert authority. TO BE THE BETTER DEMONDOG.

Hornhead is too much of a doofus to really be intimidated, though.

...And tries to impress the lady in typical doofus ways.

I'm not 100% sure how he's balancing like that, frankly.

Slowly, they notice each other. And Hornhead is SUPER PERSISTENT.
