Yay! College life! Officially, school work is the number one interference in my life as a writer 😂 I LOVE Ball State and I look forward to my classes and I need to focus on my grades, but I really want to get back to writing!

Got to say, really not happy with Sony. I've been a Spidey fan since childhood (I have the Christmas ornaments to prove it 🎄) and watching Tom Holland has been amazing. Sony, seeing his value is trying to take him for themselves but will only end up wasting him, again. Here's to hoping this course corrects!

My friend and I sat down this evening and worked though taking the mental image for a character in my book and bringing her to life on paper. This sketch is currently the most beautiful thing I own because it represents every bit of love and care I used to make her.

Andri has it tough in my book. She's not a main character and in the beginning she's not very good with magic despite being next in line to inherit the Paladinship (priesthood) from her grandfather. As the story grows, so does she. She goes from small village girl to powerful, confident warrior-priest. All it took was getting her out of her comfort zone and convincing her to believe in herself.

The image above is where she ends up. She represents the pure, playful spirit of the Simians and she gets to be that way because she's got nothing to fear.

Hope Like Seasons

Birds fly south, their feathers soft satin, The trees are dressed in glorious fashion. Though bitter, what a beautiful sight! The world turning from green to white.

Frozen snowflakes falling, a gentle pace, In cold powder, the world encased. Though bitter, what a beautiful sight! The world turning from green to white.

Rivers and lakes all turn to white glass, When nature's beauty hides, I say alas! Though bitter, what a beautiful sight! The world turning from green to white.

But, eventually, when all does melt, And the graceful lilies are sweetly smelt. Remember, as your eyes have truly seen, The world will return from white to green.

Photography has been a hobby of mine for awhile now. This was my first real attempt, way back when, to capture a small piece of the beautiful world around me. My dog has since passed away, but she'll always be in here doing what she loved: riding in the car!
