TEXT ✉ PEYTON
Lucy: Peyton St. James, you are one of the most important people in my life. Romantically inclined or not.
Lucy: Yes. But you know that I am also incredibly insecure and forever doubting myself and overthinking.
Peyton: Sap. Get married and I'll humiliate you in my speech.
Peyton: What exactly are you afraid of?
( txt. ) prestyn proposed. i said yes. did i do the right thing? tell me if i did the right thing. you know me.
[text]: first of all i’d like to point out that coming to me for romantic advice is like the lowest you could possibly get[text]: second, are you serious[text]: i mean, you love her or whatever?

“kind of a party pooper, aren’t ya? i feel a hint of jealousy coming off your voice, miss. peyton. it was alright, pretty fun and i learned some french – most of the time i was using sign language and talking like an idiot but it was enjoyable and got a lot of money from the shoots. miss me?”
“I think your feeling is a little off. I’ve never really been all that interested in travelling. That’s cool, though, I guess, vivre dans l’instant and all that. I wouldn’t say that... it was just weird having one less annoyance to deal with on a daily basis.”
“Fair enough – forgot that you’e experienced the snow, a few haven’t around here and I guess that’s quite upsetting to me. I’ll make sure to bring you down maybe during spring – it’s really pretty out there, especially around the campus. Not really, already saw Cody and obviously Evan, you were next on the list. Have to harass Mr. Abrams as well, but nothing too exciting.”
“I don’t really get what you like about it, but to each their own. I can deal with spring, though. Uh... won't you get bored just hanging around here? I mean, I'm flattered personally, but movies have lead me to believe college students are supposed to do more than just play catch up.”
“Nothing much. Trying to get used to no more classes. You?”
“Only you would actually miss school. I’m just working, pulling some double shifts. We’ve both become boring people.”
“Yeah, I definitely get it. Where are you working?”
“I’m just a waitress. Not exactly the most glamorous job.”
“tried this whole eating healthy thing while i was in paris and it didn’t work very well since i just engulfed a whole large pizza by myself. god – paris salads and shit is delicious but what’s life with no damn pizza?”
“I really doubt Parisian salads are that much better than any other kind of salad, just ten times more expensive. Welcome back to the realm of affordable, reasonable, and delicious. How’d you like the City of Lights?”
“Good – I’m happy to see you, too. Missed you, St. James. It was alright – nothing out of the ordinary I guess but the snow was a delight to see, really hope you come down and visit sometime during the winter – it’s beautiful. There’s not place like home, though.”
“I think I had my fill of snow while I was in New Hampshire but, uh, I’ll visit any other time. Any time that isn’t cold and wet and miserable. But--yeah, welcome back. Any plans while you’re here?”
I can think of a few other things you’re brilliant at.
Care to share with the class? I love being told how great I am.
“I’m doing really well. How about yourself?”
“That’s, uh, good. I’m pretty okay, too, just... working. You know how it is.”
“Ah, thank you. I’ve had a fairly exquisite teacher.”
“Wow. They must be pretty amazing, whoever they are. What’s up?”
"You’re really getting a hang of the whole menacing stare thing.”
“should i take the awkward staring as you’re not happy to see me?”
“No, I--sorry, I am happy to see you. Awkward staring is just my thing, you know that. Uh, how was New York? Everything you imagined it to be?”
Are we about to have a staring contest?
That is what I’m best at.
