A quite, sunny morning at Portland Row ...
And then George is like: 'Guys, we talked about this. Not in the common areas!'

2025 Art Summary
Another year spent thinking about Lockwood & Co. ❤️
hockey is my best friend you guys
🎄🎅 Merry belated Skullmas Christmas to those who celebrate 🎅🎄
Merry Skullmas once more 🎄❤🎁
what do y'all think Lockwood and co. would be studing at university in a no problem! au? i think Lucy's obvious answer is art, and George's is history, but i'm curious if anyone has different ideas; for holly if we were going related to her canon job at l&co i would say something like law bc offices (or just straight up being a secretary/personal assitant would be an option too), but for something more out there i think fashion design would be fun (and that way she could hypothetically share some classes with lucy). But for Lockwood i'm fully stumped, i think cop would be the most 1:1 option (besides exterminator which would be the literal translation in practice but not in essence) but like, fuck cops so...
Lucy: Art
George: History and maybe philology
Holly: Business administration
Lockwood: I headcanon either business, marketing or something like media and communication. Something where he can be in the public eye
I am convinced that with his love for silly costumes, Lockwood loves ugly Christmas sweaters. 🎄🎁
When you go out hunting wicked spirits, it’s the simple things that matter most. [...] Tea bags, brown and fresh and plenty of them, and made (for preference) by Pitkin Brothers of Bond Street, are perhaps the simplest and best of all. OK, they may not save your life like a sword-tip or an iron circle can. [...] But they do provide something just as vital. They help to keep you sane.
-Jonathan Stroud - The Screaming Staircase
I really like fictional couples that actually enjoy spending time with each other. It seems like such a simple, mundane thing. But, often, I see fictional couples who are completely enamored and dramatic and willing to die for each other, which is fine. But like… do they enjoy hanging out? Do they have private jokes and would they be friends even if they weren’t in love? It feels like such a basic thing, but it’s something that I actually don’t see that often. And it feels so refreshing and honest compared to these over-dramatic romeo and juliet-esque romances. Just two people who become good friends and because they enjoy each other’s presence so much it grows into a strong attraction. It feels more real and tangible than two attractive people meeting and “falling in love at first sight” - like, of course, you fell in love at first sight! You’re both supermodels! Sorry, can’t relate.
Slowly, carefully, I picked up the necklace and hung it around my neck. Then I put on my jacket and ran for the stairs... - Jonathan Stroud - The Empty Grave
The weather is chilly, the leaves are falling. The perfect time of the year to ask ourselves once more what happened after the final page of TEG on that infamous walk. 🍂🍁
It's spooky season, so the Iron Trio has decided to watch a horror movie.
Now George is scared, Lucy is scared and Lockwood... isn't paying attention. What could have unsettled seasoned ghost hunters this much?

Lockwood got taught how to play the piano by his mother. Nowadays, though, he only does so when he thinks no one else is in the house. What he doesn't know is, that he hasn't been alone for quite some time now...
Years later, he teaches his daughter to play. The piano is no longer a silent witness to all that has been lost, but something that brings daily joy to the inhabitants of 35 Portland Row
