Here is my piece for the @harrydracobang story 'A Sword Laid Aside' by @korlaena, which you can read HERE.

I found the idea to create something for this story intriguing since I got the list of summaries. Snark, bikes and mysteries? Sign me up immediately. As I mentioned in my official artist's note, in the process of this bang my painting went through a lot of changes. I wanted so much for my painting to do the amazing characterisation of Harry and Draco in the story justice that it took me a long time to accept one of my sketches. Hopefully, some of that excitement and care will translate through the screen.

When I got the story and started reading, I just couldn’t put it down. It’s so well written, full of history to discover and mysteries to solve. And because korlaena wasn’t done yet, that first version I got ended on a cliffhanger - I could’ve screamed. But in every part added she delivered again and made the story even more amazing. I honestly can’t wait to read it all as a whole again now.

I’m still crying over the fact that Love, Simon will only be in cinemas here in June, but well… let’s celebrate Keiynan in the meantime 😋

‪I first had this idea at rdc3 because Bryan mentioned he wanted to put the song at the end of Apéritif and I absolutely loved that. I scrapped it back then, but I’m really glad I went back to it now.
