Sprint
Today my dad went to a Sprint desk in a Radio Shack for help with his day-old iPhone. His account to me of the representative's behavior is appalling. After briefly asking him what the problem was, he pushed for my dad to get an overpriced Otterbox with such smugness, telling him all the horrors he would endure without one. My dad instead opted to get a $20 case, all the while the rep putting him down about it. Then the rep commented that my dad needed a screen protector. Which he had. He and I installed it last night, from one of the larger sheets you cut to size. The rep scoffed and said "sir, it looks like you're just still using the film that comes on the phone when you first take it out of the box." Is someone kidding me? This particular Sprint location will not get any further business from either of us. I'm sure many have gotten the same bullcrap from various cell phone store reps. Share stories?
My Favorite Stuff
This is a post I will do every so often called My Favorite Stuff. Just rambling about the stuff I enjoy. I'm a night owl by heart. Have been almost my whole life. From secretly reading with a flashlight at night, to sneaking game boy late on a school night.. Then came the near all nighters at college watching the comedy central secret stash and playing DS.. Always usually accompanied by snack food (since I'm also a fat man by heart, but that's a whole tumble in itself). I've graduated to various levels of freedom and being able to accomplish more with my night owl-ness. Getting better games, and a better computer allowing me to torrent and get even more stuff to enjoy.. And then my license and a car. That finally brings me to this particular favorite item: late night wanderings about town. Doing whatever suits my fancy. Whether it's a snack run, a fourth meal off some kind.. Or a midnight movie, or in one awesome event, the midnight launch Super Smash Bros for 3DS. Just me and a few die hard gamers from my area. It was an awesome event too. They had the main title music from Brawl playing in the store, and the tv was showing all the trailers. I did also see the first Avengers movie at midnight, it was exhilarating, especially since that movie is the greatest movie in the history of film. Another thing I love is slightly burnt popcorn. Leaving it in the microwave for about ten seconds after the last pop.. So the insides of the pieces get a bit black... It's the best thing ever. Find joy in the simple things folks, and don't be afraid to express them! Maybe you'll find someone who enjoys the same thing, or maybe you'll turn someone onto something new. And together we'll give you a medallion and add our power to yours! Oh wait... That was ocarina of time. Ha ha. This series WILL continue.
Don't Judge Me, Software
One reason I like Hulu is because it doesn't stop every three episodes and ask if you're still watching. I'm already in the mood one gets when binge watching on a Saturday night instead of being out with people. Don't make me reaffirm it (and also have to keep finding the Apple TV remote, which has likely fallen among the cushions. Don't judge me Netflix.

This Party Has Gone On Too Long
Can we just take a moment and talk about the absolute shit that Mario Party has become?
I just paid a handsome premium game price for Mario Party 10 and I feel horribly cheated. With hardly an excuse for a title screen, and barely more of a menu.. I’m treated to a “ party” where all four characters move at the same time in a vehicle (wtf), there’s no more coins (seriously, wtf) you compete for “mini stars” which you can have in ridiculous numbers and lose in equally ridiculous numbers.. Sometimes sheerly on dumb luck.
Folks. I realize series need to adapt to the times. But this just seems like sacrilege to the series we’ve come to love.
But! Even worse than Mario Party 10 is Mario Party Island Tour for 3DS. What an atrocious attempt at a Mario Party game! All four players do not move at once, but once the lead player passes a roadblock, then none of the other players have to deal with it. Then, the first player to reach the goal is automatically the superstar. There’s no other criteria or runner up or bonus stars (mostly because there are no stars).
This isn’t the first time that a series that was doing just fine was alerted and ruined. Like the portable versions of the Lego games. After the amazing and enjoyable Lego Batman on DS, the Harry Potter took the genre, stomped on it, shat on its face, and tossed it in the bin. I went way out on a limb and got Lego Marvel, and was sorry I did so.
Anyway… I guess nothing can stay the same forever. Perhaps it’s me that is closed minded. Or can there be a happy medium? Only time will tell. But that’s a topic for another tumble.

About to start Hump Day. Don't I look thrilled?
I still remember the day I got the Pokemon Red Version. I was in elementary school and I called my father and asked him if he would get it for me on the way home from work. And he did! After that point I played it nonstop. I was so happy with myself when I came up with my strategy for beating Gary's Alakazam, my main obstacle. The Gold version came still in elementary school... Then Sapphire... And, so we grew. And the series with us. The Pearl version is what I probably spent the most sum total hours on. White was so amazing, and with each version we got closer... Just a little closer, to the dream... The perfect pokemon game. Small steps, you know.. A battle animation here, a bit of a tweak there. Whether Alpha Sapphire is this dream or not can't be decided by just me... But I will say this: I am now 30 years old, I have a job, a car, and bills. And I am proud to still be a Pokemon Trainer!
Man of the house!... Apartment.... Thing.

Is there anyone else besides me who's frustrated at the lack of an opening movie on 3ds smash bros?
