Why even bother having a debate about something to understand the other side’s pov with people who are ready to treat you like an ant that deserves to be crushed

I still fail to realize that sometimes you can’t change what others think and it’s best to just let them be

but the fact that they can be straight up disrespectful is kinda disappointing “you’re beneath me because you disagreed with me” whatever you say, my bad for not having the patience nor the energy to deal with this rn but maybe a therapist nearby is willing to hear about you?
