5 Seconds of Summer have been touring for their headline shows quite awhile now but yet to Asia not until this year. 5SOS have a lot of Asian fans that would want them to visit Asia for concerts. I’ve known some Asian fans who would travel to places 5SOS will be playing shows just to see them live. The dream of the Asian 5SOSFam has been answered because they kicked off their second HEADLINING TOUR, “Sounds Live Feels Live” with the Asian leg, starting off with Nagoya, Japan.
The official announcement for #5SOSMNL was made on October 15, 2015. I remembered when I saw that tweet from Ms. Rhiza Pascua or Miss RP, (the promoter of 5SOS’ show in Manila from MMI Live), I was actually reviewing for I had a Law exam that day but shocks I was so happy and crying because finally! After 5 goddamn years, WE will finally see them! EVERYONE lost their chill! Like literally everyone! Everyone on Twitter was like “OMG! OMG! KALOY!” or “YAAAAAS 5SOS!” or “FINALLY! 5SOS!” . Yeah we were like that, also we were like this “PUT*NGINA DARATING NA 5SOS!” Yeah. it was indeed #NOCHILLPHILIPPINES.
It started with this tweet from Miss Rhiza:
Here are some of the Filo 5SOS Fam’s reaction regarding this:
The ticket selling selling was announced to be on Nov. 7, 2015 just the same ticket seeling for The Vamp’s concert and the ticket selling was held at Mall Of Asia Arena Music Hall. Since Filo 5SOS Fam, as I’ve said, lost OUR chill, even two days before the said ticket selling, some fans were already lining up. take a look at this:
HOW DEDICATED FANS WERE THEY? They deserve a round of applause! *claps*
The morning of November 6, 2015, there were approximately 100 fans who were lining up for the ticket selling THE NEXT DAY. Imagine that. When I got there at MOA Music Hall, it was past noon time. I learned that some of the admins from @5SOSPHOfficial; the Official Philippine Street Team for 5SOS; admins from different 5SOS Update Accounts like @Tha5SOSFamily and @5SOSLocate were making an effort to organize the fans. They were writing numbers with their signature on the fan’s forearm according to when and which number they’ve arrived. That act was something like this:
As for me, I was already at #115. I was actually the “CUT OFF” because the SM Management was not allowing the fans to line up and stay there anymore. So, we were told that we should come back at night because the official line will be at 12 midnight. I went home after that and waited until night but it was nice to know that some fans continued the deed of writing numbers on the fans’ forearms so the numbering system was not cut off. I got back to MOA Music Hall around 8:30pm and the number of people who were waiting there was really amazing. Look at these pictures:
Everyone was fine with the numbering system not until it was already 10:00pm. The line for the fans with the numbers was going so smooth not until a staff from MMI Live began to announce thru megaphone that the line for Soundcheck tickets was different to the line we were lining up to. So everyone was running towards his direction and the numbers were disregarded. Those who lined up so early didn’t get into the front of the line. Everyone at the back of the line was already crying, screaming at the bouncers, losing their chill and who wouldn’t have? The admins who initiated the numbering system, shoutout to Cel, Bree, Kat, Bianca and Lea (and many more), were asking the staffs from MMI Live if they could consider the numbering system that they’ve started but obviously it was disregarded. Fast forward to the morning of Nov. 7, 2015. THE TICKET SELLING! *grudges*. Look at that crowd:
I got to buy my tickets at around lunch time. That was really exhausting but nevermind it was for 5SOS anyway.
With the leadership of 5SOSPH, a fan project for the Manila concert was made. It was most probably known as #Project5SOSPH. Here is what the fan project was all about:
It was actually in Tagalog so that the could not creep about it since 5SOS love to creep a lot. But the translation is : (or so I thought:)
During the concert, at the first chorus of Jet Black Heart (but it was changed to Amnesia because we gave way to the SLFLFanProject), raise the papers that will be giving out by the admins from 5SOS update accounts to the VIP and Patron section with “We Thought You’d Never Come” on it.
Together with the papers being raised up, the Lower Box, Upper Box and General Admission sections will raise up the following colors of the Philippine flag using their phones.
General Admission : Yellow
During the encore of the concert, we will sing Wherever You Are. It will start off with “For a while we pretended..” until the boys will be back on stage again.
The fan project will look like this:
And all sections will also raise up papers with “Salamat. Mahal Namin Kayo” (Thank you! We love you!) after the last song
Everyone was so excited for this concert like really excited. A lot of fans were doing countdown and expressing their excitement for this concert.
