     Preator?

     Not even a minute later he looked up and then he felt something warm and wet, her lips??? WAIT. WHAT DID SHE JUST DO? He was already not understanding this and here he was locked in what he guessed was his first kiss being taken by his servant. The poor boy almost had a heart attack but it was just how she is. She always did these things without letting anything stop her and yet he was eternally passive without argument or much of anything to what she did. Is this what couples do? He didn’t know he supposed that well but he was starting to understand although it was slow.

     Mouth opening the minute he felt she pulled away, he tried to talk once more and nothing happened to come out. Of course she probably expected that he was going to be flustered or even rendered speechless since he isn’t use to this. Not as much as he’d like to admit. He can’t really say anything to stop her knowing once she had her sights set on something that she’ll do her best which is more than he can say for himself compared to his servant.

     Truthfully he just wanted her to at least give him a warning before she did such things again. Which of course wasn’t her style, so he’d have to live with it as much as it’d at least help a little. Gah. He went from sitting there depressed like he always was by his thoughts to blushing and not thinking much at all. She seemed pleased with herself that brought him back to reality faster than expected.

     But really, in a way he can’t complain or anything since it was her showing concern while he sat there not paying attention.

    It was weird since normally he was fine with people being close enough by if he wanted to sleep more and yet he had a bad feeling about resting at this point. Then again he could be wrong? He can’t say for sure but he’s more scared that he’ll be woken up to himself being dragged off or worse when he needed the rest. For now he can make do.

    He’ll just drink coffee and go from there hoping he doesn’t fall asleep nearby him.

     Help him find his place? He didn’t know the meaning of that with anxiety soon making itself evident with his stomach almost feeling as if it were dancing about. Leaving was sounding more appealing than staying there if she were going to do something that wouldn’t sit right with him even as he stayed in place for the time being. What the hell did he do to deserve this when all he’s trying to do is find out who he was before this whole mess started and had more questions than he did answers. His name he knew but his past was nothing more than blank pages and nothing else.

     Why him though? She could just go off and do her own thing while he hoped he just survived long enough to make it further. Then again she only wished to help he realized although this is something he truly should be attempting to do on his own. ❝It’s... not something I can have help with is it at that extent?❞ Because he felt need to ask at least knowing that he needed the assistance in a way.

     Like Alice. He knew she was one and maybe that man he saw once was another in this case. Ghosts of all things in this place where it’s purely digital but was he not like them? He felt as if he were a ghost honestly more than a person usually but this remained unvoiced toward Caster due to him knowing she wouldn’t be pleased if he moped about. Right, right. For the time being he’ll at least try to pay attention and voice his own thoughts there.

     Now that sounded awkwardly morbid, enough that he immediately stumbled over his words trying to correct himself and failing. Crap. Now he probably seems stranger than usual.

     Speechless? Yes, was she serious? Why wouldn’t she be when he knew at this point she wouldn’t lie about things like this and yet he felt wrong to be that person she felt linked to. Someone that doesn’t exist and was still there like he was meant to be so maybe, just maybe, maybe she’s fine with this in all his faults knowing he can’t change himself immediately and felt need to often times second guess his actions in his own case. But, he felt his cheeks heat up immediately at the thought. Was this being flustered? It had to be given he isn’t completely use to the idea of flirting or being told something that romantic.

     His servant the dramatic and passionate saber felt this way toward him. Come on speak, speak! But nothing came out his mouth even if he wished he could say something at this point. She might expect him to and yet there was nothing like it just died on his tongue before he got out whatever she wished for him to say if anything. She was trying to do this to help him? No, it was far too... different to be for that reason.

     Sincere and honest but at most he could just sit there like a blushing mess and in a way thankful she did at least admit to it without it being a cruel joke. At least it’s something he was glad for even with how bleak things are.

   ❝Wait, I didn’t sign up for this!❞ Being forced to clean by his servant he meant but he did at least grab a mop and the bucket even if he’d rather go back to exploring. Why him? He thought it was suppose to be her turn even or Gatou’s yet here he is having to clean up instead when more exploring with maybe calling it an early night sounding better. He’s sore enough with having to chase around dead ends in there already. ❝Actually, why isn’t Shinji doing it? I thought he was suppose to clean before me.❞ Why is he trying so hard to get out of this? Tiredness does things he guesses.

        it was rather strange at how peaceful the strange emulated world could be,   despite being in midst of a war.   it felt calming yet energetic,   the atmosphere of teenagers chattering bringing ease.   yet she was a bit out of place,   considering how many donned the school uniform whereas she kept to her family attire.   there were others like her,   preferring their normal clothing rather than conformity   —   but they were few and far between,   and keyleth remained unable to seek them for some conversations.   so instead,   she turned to a nearby seated student,   his previously-pensive visage now startled as she approached.

   ❝H-huh? That’s... that’s right.❞ Awkwardly he pointed his attention toward her then that flower she somehow tugged out from the digital area around them. What? How? Surprising but he did at least take it from her without complaint and almost questioning just how someone can do things such as this but then he remembered they all used magic there with their own methods so for now he won’t press. That’s not his nature even if his memories were all but not there from what he had realized thus far. But, at this point he was thinking of how he needed to answer her.

    Maybe he should start it off simple. ❝Did... I seem like I was lost in thought then?❞ Out of place is more like it, not fit for this war, not even suppose to be there which often times crossed his mind. He could die there and knew it, would it matter? No.

❛ where does one usually start when learning a language? you must begin with the alphabet! you cannot jump right into trying to pronounce the words when you do not know the alphabet. that is just foolish!  ❜     this would be a long process yet she would teach him. one must take risks and experience things in life, is that not what life is? aside from memories, life is all about the experience. there’s no point to it if you do not experience anything worth-while, no matter how small. and this is a worth-while experience, learning a new language – an exciting feat for many when mastered. it’s a change from the usual routine, change it up a little.     routine is limiting. venture out, discover new things.        live a little.

    Excitement, living, differences in routine when in reality he was so uncertain with his choices and more all because he knew nothing about himself and felt as if he shouldn’t exist. She said often times she wished to see him grow far more splendid than he did before and yet... he didn’t really seem able to wrap his head around the fact that he cannot continue this way like he did before. She felt need to try boosting his confidence, making him stop being so awkward but this was easier said than done. He’s not that easy unfortunately to break the habits of.

    She wanted him to learn after all and what Saber said often times left no room to disagree with her. Agreeing was better and he knew it as reluctant as he may be.
