do you think if venturiantale was still going by the time alan wake 2 came out, would they have used the new alan wake models for johnny toast? (wake with longer hair and brown suit / mr. scratch with the leather jacket)
cuz they used 3 different alan wake models and 3 different mr. scratch models
wake in his main outfit from alan wake 1 (also w/ head wound)
wake in just the black hoodie from alan wake 1 in the flashback scene (also w/ head wound)
wake in his flannel from alan wake's american nightmare
mr. scratch in the waistcoat with the sleeves rolled up (also covered in blood, i think)
mr. scratch in the waistcoat with the sleeves rolled down
mr. scratch in the waistcoat with his suit jacket
and they would switch between all of these, so would they have added the new models to the rotation? they started using alan wake / mr.scratch as toast in 2014 (and the flannel about a month later, and wake's normal outfit another month later. with the hoodie interspersed between. might be wrong on this), and by that time both alan wake 1 and american nightmare had come out (being 2010 and 2012)
from a more meta perspective, it's just alan wake in different outfits + mr. scratch, so he looks basically the same, appearance wise (mr. scratch being a doppelgänger), but because of the time that has passed between alan wake 1 and 2, wake looks different appearance wise
within the story, toast is just switching outfits basically, but then if they used a newer model he would just suddenly have longer hair and a full beard
the only way i could think of them using the newer models would be, for a joke, or for like one video. or possibly use it for gavin to differentiate them more, but they often forgot gavin even existed so it seems unlikely
also random side tangent:
the mr. scratch models they used, im pretty are fan made, cuz mr. scratch doesn't have a proper official model. you mostly see him as the live action version in video tapes, and when he does appear physically in the game, his model is unfinished / low poly. tbf he only appears in game physically like a few times and it's just a short cutscene of him teleporting in, taunting wake, then disappearing, and you don't really see his model close up
AND i can't seem to get the playermodel to work for me (last time i checked which was ahwhile ago). i found the pack and the npcs and stuff work, but not the playermodel. idk why and im sad. i can't be mr. scratch / johnny toast (i can be alan wake / johnny toast tho)
